EASY HACK How to sew and turn tubes and loops FAST!

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

How to make Lots of Loops and Tubes fast without having to turn by hand.
Something that I really don't enjoy doing is turning loops. Especially if there are lots of them!
In this video, I show you a fun way of sewing and turning them at the same time.
A great method to use if you are making a lot of bags with long straps or clothing with lots of loops.
Also a great way to sew those little narrow scrunchies that are too small to use the Burrito method.
This method was inspired by the way makers of neckties sew the loops on the back of the ties.
You will need to use a one-sided foot on an industrial sewing machine to use this method.
Not sure which domestic machines would have the same type of foot to accomodate the shape of the plastic tubes.

    Well, that was fun! I just tried it on my regular sewing machine with a standard foot, and it worked great! I used 2.5” width fabric and a boba straw (wider than a regular drinking straw). Mahalo!

  • @NotchesSewing

    @NotchesSewing

    The loops can be for anything. I am just showing a very quick way of making them. When making loops, especially the small ones, it can be very time consuming and hard on the hands if you have a lot to make. This method can be used for straps, handles, belt loops, the loops on the back of neck ties, scrunchies etc..... Thanks for watching!

    Has anyone been successful using denim?

  • @NotchesSewing

    @NotchesSewing

    2 жыл бұрын

    Denim is too heavy to use . The fabric has to be soft enough to go through tubes easily. Silks, satins and light cottons are fine. Thanks for watching. If you need to turn a lot of tubes, also watch my video to make your own turner and other things you can use around the house. Cheers!
