    You’re not lying sis, nutrition is number one. I have slacked lately in my nutrition, l have to go back to it again. When l was eating healthy my hair grew faster , no joke. Scalp massager is not a joke at all, l have grown hair within 9 days with using a massaging gadget , it works.

    Thank you for this video. For many years my hair was down my back, maybe to my waist. Several years ago for stress reasons my hair broke off, and because I didn't get back to consistent care it stayed at shoulder length. In April 2023 I did the big chop myself and started a consistent health hair care routine. My hair retained 6 inches in 8 months. Now my hair is the healthiest it has ever been. Many of the tips you shared I use. Yesterday while shopping I bought a scalp massager for the first time. I use to just use my fingers but now I will use both. I will also use it when washing my hair. 👍🏽🤗🌹🙏🏽💖

I love this video because many young ladies and women are learning to take care of their hair on yt. I have been natural since 1990. My hair is down my back i get it cut once a year because i only allow one person to trim my hair. But above all i ask God to keep me healthy and vibrant and to help me to take care of my body which includes my hair. And He does.

    I disagree with the logic behind speeding up hair growth. The example you gave about shedding isn’t talking about ‘speed’ but the act of hair falling out for an external process and in the of stressors it is a pathological process. But if you are not going through any pathological reasons that can cause detrimental effects on your hair, then the speed of hair is 95% dependent on genes, same with density and thickness of strand Now can that 5% exist? Absolutely, but it would take considerable effort that may or may not have an effect and again I mean from a person that is in a normal state so eating healthy, drinking water and everything. That’s just my thought So I recommend people that are healthy to just focus on retaining your length than trying to control a factor that is largely dependent on something you have no control over.

  • @SharatiaBanks

    @SharatiaBanks

    4 ай бұрын

    The rate our hair sheds is also a genetic factor. The example I gave was to prove that genes in general can be affected by behavioral factors including things that cause stress which results in excessive shedding. Growth, color, shed, texture all based on genes. However, the point I’m making is that epigenetics can alter the way our genes work. It doesn’t change the dna just how our dna reacts. I understand epigenetics is controversial but I was giving a general example. And I believe it WHOLEHEARTEDLY cause sis is a grower of .5 inches normally but I incorporated scalp massages, drinking teas, and I’m at an inch. And for sure, def retain the length by doing the required actions but it would be cool if I can retain more by growing more

    I disagree with your trim vs. cut explanation. If you trim something, you're removing a small amount. Trim the fat from the meat, trim the grass, not going deep. Trimming 1/4 inch of hair is trimming it during the act of cutting. Why try to make this complicated?

    It's not that we worry about our hair so much, it is that For centuries, people of color did not have. Products made specifically for their hair texture. Our hair is very Fragile and it needs much care. it's time consuming to take care of our hair we must keep it moisturized ,Oiled otherwise it will break off. And each individual person hair is different. It is not a one Product that works for all like Caucasian, people's shampoo and hair products.is designed for them throughout the world. They can use any shampoo/ Conditioner . They can just wash Their hair dry it and go. And the Chinese people and Asian Indian women just wash it Dry it brush it and go.
