You're not gonna believe this dude, but I had to contact Dell customer service today about my game stuttering, so the guy said "Please give me a moment I am checking a KZread video on how to fix your stuttering". I asked him to send me the video he watched so that I could do this in the future. Dell Tech Support referred me to YOUR video dude! Pretty wild, anyway, thanks for teaching dell how to fix my stuttering dude!

I had the exact same problem. Seemed to be worse in some games more than others.

Been through a ton of videos with none of the fixes working. This was the only one that worked for micro stuttering every 5 or so seconds only while in games. Appreciate your help!

2023 and can confirm this worked for me on win 10 with a 2080ti/8700k. Honestly this has made a world of difference in actual and perceived smoothness. My machine could handle most games at 4k with dlss on quality, but I'd occasionally get these random frame drops/stutters. This trick has made me realize that i havent been using my setup optimally for YEARS. Microsoft needs to really fix this issue as it's totally something on their end.

My 100+ fps always felt so choppy and was always so stuttery. Especially when it was around 144 to the high 200's, I would be getting high fps but also so much stuttering happening. Sometimes it happens because of bottlenecking. which is caused when one of your components like your gpu is weaker then the cpu causing stutters. or sometimes it may be the gpu being to powerful for the cpu the best way to fix this issue is to upgrade your cpu or gpu so that both components are equally strong enough to support each other.

I don't often comment on computer fix videos and I find most either don't work as described or work sometimes at best. But this one has completely fixed my stuttering issue in games where it happened. I mostly only had the issue with Vulkan API's, but the stuttering made these games unplayable even with 100+ FPS. Its so annoying when background processes are the cause for such issues. Thanks for the fix, works exactly as described.

YES!! This actually worked for me!! I've been having the worst stutters/audio cutouts for months. I got a new Ryzen 5800x3d hoping it would fix it. But was still stuttering.. until this! This completely fixed Modern Warfare, Warzone and Black Ops Cold War stutter issues. Even on the lowest settings with so much file tweaking from other tutorials the games would perform so randomly and experience hard stutters in open areas. Now it's all gone and the framerate and gameplay are buttery smooth. You are awesome!

Not everyone can explain your explanation is well heard and with details so I did it correctly just managed to fix my frozen explorer buttons by a lite tinker and remembered the weird lags I was getting which isn't what am used to and I found ya video boom problem solved

This is actually amazing. I’ve been having issues with games stuttering and always felt like another program was the cause as I have a 2080ti and i7 7700k with 32gb raam and had random stuttering that didn’t drop frames. Was a very weird lag. Now it’s all but gone as well as games that are not optimized well it also helped their stuttering. Thank you for taking the time to let everyone know how to do this. It won’t be a cure all for sluggish rigs but it will help a lot.

Mate, you are a legend! I've always had small screen freezes while playing Assetto Corsa Competizione, sometimes up to 1 second, and have tried all sorts of setting changes, but this fix has eliminated the problem for me! I'm also getting much more consistent frame times too! DO THIS!

THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I have been struggling with stutters on my rig for about 6 months with no solutions, every game had annoying micro stutters and glitching of frames, this eliminated the all of that and every game runs great!

Ready or Not came out on full release and I had issues in DX11 and DX12. Had ZERO clue what to do, and this right here saved me from attempting to spend money on a 4070 to have these stutters go away. Ready or Not now runs better, but my friends still can't tell who is an enemy or not so I can enjoy my time getting headshot by my friends in real time, no stutter.

THIS WORKED SO WELL. Fps in most games was fine already, but this seriously helped with stutters holy cow, feels like I'm experiencing smooth 144fps for the first time again. It seriously helped with some fps in some of my cpu-bound games, some areas went up 20fps, and i have a good cpu too. I did this alongside some other things but this was clearly one of the difference makers.

What a freaking lifesaver!! Ya guys this works! My stuttering was getting worse and worse and I tried everything I knew to fix it. This solved it and now I’m back to smooth gameplay. Hopefully this is a permanent fix, but so far so good!
