Hi I have never heard of Peltex so will need to check that out - thanks! Is a free-motion sewing machine different to a regular machine or is it just a different foot? I would love to be able to do that kind of free stitching on mine!

Hi Angela, I am using a regular sewing machine and a free-motion quilting foot or darning foot. You do have to disengage the feed dogs on your machine. This is done by lowering them with a lever or covering them with a plate. You may have to refer to your manual. It's a lot of fun! Julia

I was so stupid to buy a stuff interfacing. I don’t think it’s quite as stiff as yours. It was pretty expensive so I hate not to use it!? I like to “wonky” stitch like some of what you do but just tell their story from birth until 2 years old.

So sorry I’ve been messing around with the stiff interfacing and I’m thinking there’s no way it would work to have that much binding between the pages. I think I need to do separate pages. How would you suggest joining them

Love your videos, but wanted to say I don't think you mentioned that you worked on a non stick sheet at the first stage of the project.

Hi Barb, Ugh- I forgot to mention it. The Peltex usually doesn't stick to the pressing mat but the using the non stick sheet is a good safety measure. Thanks so much. Julia

Found your channel today. What is the white material you have inside. I am Swedish. Can you please write the name down for me. I hear Caltex but that is probably wrong, cause I can not find it when I google thank you

Hi, it’s called Peltex. Any heavy interfacing will work if you can’t get Peltex. Thanks for watching!
