I love your techniques- like less is more. Love makeup that looks clean and not like you’re wearing a mask.
I am so glad I found you. I know I've said that before but your tutorials are the most clear and doable I've ever seen. These looks are beautiful and natural and something someone my age can wear. Thanks so much.

Happy to seat in your classroom! That's what I needed instead of being bored by tons of unrealistic makeup. Thank you for your tips and also multiple advices about products. Women need suggestions that can improve their beauty and also feel good with themselves. That is YOUR difference. ;)
Great video! I am older and want to do very little with my eyes. I will try this, thank you! You look amazing!

Ms Girlie -Yes, I agree. Great for older eyes. Older eyes need a lighter definition and this works great. If you go too heavy on an older eye with shadow you end up highlighting any wrinkles and crepey skin.

Laguna Girl 100 %. I’m 49 and the more shadows and liners I try to use the more years I add. I swear in the last 2 or 3 years, if I use more than a few products I look 101 years old lol.
I did my eye makeup like this today, and I love it so much. I have hooded eyes, and this looked so beautiful! The sharp liquid flicks always looked so harsh on me and smokey eyes looked dirty... but this technique totally changed my eyes!
I really love how your videos show beautiful, attainable, eyelooks, without being complicated. You really do have techniques that cover all ages and skill sets. Thank You! ❤

Great tip! I do this pretty much everyday. My go to pencil for staying power and smudgability is Marc Jacobs - either the regular or skinny versions.

I like this, definitely doable. I am always so impressed by your ideas that you come up with. Thanks Shelbey!
Shelbey, thank you so much for your tips of simple application with an intellectual conversation that keeps ones attention. You are a gem!
This is an awesome technique! Thank you for sharing! I am so glad that someone showed us an easy way to define the eyes without a bunch of eyeshadows. 😊
Thank you for adding recommendations for oily eyelids!
I like these videos where we are actually being taught a technique!
Love the way you do it ..so naturally looking without wearing like a heavy mask...tons of layers of make ups

Absolutely gorgeous!! So natural! 🌟
This one is a keeper. I did it this morning - very nice!!! Thank you!
Wow gorgeous! Your skin has been looking really amazing!
Love how you cover all eyelid types. 🙏🌸🍀🌺💐
Your tutorials are so full of tips and tricks, love them!😍
I LOVE your makeup video's! I have mature skin, but I still look pretty good :) Every time I watch one of your tutorials, I learn something new about applying makeup correctly for my skin. For example: the correct foundation for my skin (not heavy coverage), the simple eye looks (Laura Mercier creme eye pencil in cocoa...yes!), how to tight-line your upper lids when you have hooded eyes, etc. Girl, you give us all such confidence and great ideas, and you are absolutely gorgeous!
I lovee the natural shape of your eyes. Veryy unique!
Love This Look. Definitely Going To Give It A Try. Thank You So Much For Sharing This With Us 🌷
Thanks so much for this tutorial! I can't wait to practice and master your technique. I really don't have time in the morning to mess with eye shadow and this will simplify everything!👍🙂

This video just made my day!! Such beautiful eye look in such a short time, amazing! (I just got the Charlotte Tilbury classic eye powder in Sophia. It was a bit disappointing at first, as the color wasn't setting well on my lids. Then I stumbled on this video, and now I am in love with my eye pencil. In this way, showed in the video, this eye pencil color looks so elegant on my lids!)
I love these tutorials! Actual wearable makeup tips for real life. Great video
I really like this tutorial. It really does define an elongate your eye. I do have to say that at 52, my hooded eyelids/downturned eyes have definitely required more TLC when applying eyeshadow and I'll eye liner as I have aged. I've also had to learn new ways to put on makeup, to not emphasize how down turn my eyes have become. I wish I wasn't too far away from you, because I would love to get your advice on the aging eye. As you age oh, you will most likely have to adjust how you put on eyeshadow and eyeliner as well. You are a beautiful young woman and I enjoy your tutorials! Keep it up and thank you for doing them!
Hi Shelby! So far the best tip. I'm a Registered Nurse & don't have the time to put all the jazz I need for my 12hr Shift. This definitely works. Tried this before using BATTER by Buxom but yours is way better defined. Thanks for this tip! God bless you always. - SASHA & MINIC🙂
Love these videos. Also love whatever you have on your lips! Emma x
Such a good and easy to follow look that really surprised me in terms of it being one liner. It’s a look that I can’t wait to try and recreate. MUFE has some amazing pencils that is often overlooked so it’s good to hear them mentioned tho I will be checking out that CT pencil!
This is absolutely amazing!!
Perfect!!! Love this technique!!! I love make-up to be easy, elegant, and more natural looking. I'm going to practice this eye look all day until I perfect it. Great video Shelby🌹🌹🌹

If you’re hesitant or nervous about the wing she did, just follow your lower lash line upwards/out. That can be the challenging part for many so I thought I’d share this tip.

Soooo pretty! You always amaze me...☺️
This is awesome! Never thought of this, before! I usually just throw my blush on the eye and lower lash line....highlighter in the crease, and out! Did that today, actually...lol
I love this! I prefer soft makeup look, not too many videos out there like this. Thank you!!!
Thank you, Shelbey! I have a wedding to go to this weekend and I'm not very good at eye makeup. This technique will be my go to now.
Hi, do you recall your lip color and brand? I love it! 🙂
Looks beautiful! ✨
Hi Shelbey, I’m really enjoying learning how to wear small amounts of eye make up from your youtube channel, I am the wrong side of 40 and have never really worn any make up daily however seeing the difference you can achieve with the know how and the smallest amount of product I’m slowly beginning to try your techniques. Your eyes are so hypnotic and gorgeous. I have deep set eyes do you have any tips for these types of eyes? Thank you Shelbey you’re the best 🤩
This is perfect for my mornings! As always, you’re a lifesaver! 🥰

Never mind, I rewatched that portion of the video. Sultry by Kiss! Just picked them up at Walmart... I’m so excited!
Jordana eye liner (from Walgreens) also works on oiler lids...I use it on unset concealer. Love the look!
Needa go practice this now!
Thank you for the tutorial! Can you tell us the lippie, blush, and bronzer please?
Wonderful for older folks and easy to do.
You are so good! This is now my very favorite eyeshadow technique! Looks beautiful! So subtle and soft, yet very eye-catching in an attractive way. If, at 61, I can’t do this, I’m giving up! Shelbey, would this work for mature, very hooded eyes where the outer 1/3 of the upper eyelid falls down over the mobile lid? If so, would you have to modify it at all to work? I love the face powder tip! This will greatly help to soften the brown pigmentation I have in my crease area.
I have no idea why your don’t have millions of views! So easy to follow and clever 💕
Well done! Thank you for the tutorial!
Once again; love your wearable technique & great tutorial 😘😻 Do you use any eye primer with this look/cream eyeshadows? And what primer would you recommend for hooded, oily lids?
I don’t have the Charlotte Tilbury powder pencil, but I do have the other two! I love doing this for a quick eye and out the door look!!
So simple and makes your eyes look fantastic.
Perfect teaching 🥰 Thank you Shelbey:) Have a fantastic day 💕 Tammy Roy 🇨🇦
Great tip! Yay! I will try this look today.
Thanks. I love quick and easy.
Great video Shelby! Love your no fuss techniques, that make such a difference. Just curious if you used an eyeshadow primer? That CT (Audrey) pencil is my all time favorite eye pencil!💕 Thank you.
Thank you thank you..... For being a great teacher!
So beautiful!
That looks so natural.
Simply beautiful.
It's crazy you're doing this technique because I just finished watching Lisa Eldridge and her Audrey Hepburn lipstick video. She had her eyes done like this... And I was so in love with it 🥰
I basically do this with the CT Color Chameleon pencils which I love because when they dry down they don't budge on me, usually over a light lid wash of Jean. Perfect everyday look for work.

I love to use eyeshadow pencils too, mostly Nudestix. Have been super interested in CT Chameleons, but are they glittery? I have hooded, oily lids, so glitters are no no to me, but love good/metallic shimmer/sheen without fallouts 😘. Do you use any eye primer with your CT?
New Subscriber Here! Love The Videos! Unless I have missed it have you any tips for oily lids? Primers help but added info would be great!
Gorgeous! Which lipstick/liner are you wearing please??? Just subscribed!!! ♡ ♡ ♡ Lydia
I’d love to see this done on small hooded crepe eyes. Difficult to do eyes with no eye space😞

She does have slightly hooded eyes tho not all hooded are 100% altho her eye size is not small
My favorite pencils to do this with are MAC powersurge and teddy :)
Just subscribed found your channel. I love your technique. Thank you
Gorgeous ❤I have a medium complexion. Do you think the Charlotte Tils eyeliner color you used would work for me ? Thanks
Nice. Great instructions.
i used your "kitten flick" technique yesterday and got two random compliments :)
Very helpful and easy to follow... with mature skin, wouldn’t the powder on the eye area at the end cause creasing in wrinkles?
I'd love to see more looks with the nudestix magnetic eye pencils!

Howdy do you add more liner? because your look looks more dramatic? Thank you! Love your tutorials
Love it! Thanks
You are amazing!
There is a liner from Marc Jacobs that I think you’d love, ultra skinny fineliner, it’s perfect for a very thin and delicate line and it’s super black. Great price, lots of colors, it’s even in the mini format cause I’ve bought it via a boundle kit with another pencil that works amazing for these simple looks and the mini sizes lasts forever! The pack costed less than 20$ and it had even a mascara 👌✨
So helpful Shelby! What is your lipstick? Very pretty
Hi Shelbey! I love your site. What shade of lipstick are you wearing in this video?

*Great technique! I'm looking forward to trying it... I want to ask your advice. You inspired me to try Bare Minerals original foundation but I just can't buy the brush. I have 2 brushes that may work well for buffing and want to know which you'd suggest. I have the IT Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe Angled Buffing Foundation brush OR the IT Cosmetics CC+ Skin Perfecting brush #702... The kit I bought came with a miniature version of the buffing brush you use but it's a joke! Please help?!*
Love it 😍 TFS ♥️
Hi Shelby, I'm a newer sub. I'm Enjoying your videos! They are helpful for me with hooded almond eyes and having "gingery" features to keep things more simplistic looking. I am curious if you have used brownish lashes which can look natural in person?? Black individuals too--(even with black brown mascara) seems to be a bit much on me. Do you have any recommendations or tips for a cohesive looking situation I might adopt? Thank you 🌷, Mara
It is great! I love it 👏👏👏👏✨🤩🎯
Did you prime your eyelids with anything first? I'm going to try this technic tomorrow!
Great look!! Ta
Omg magic
Very interesting, something I would never have thought of or have seen. I love eye shadow, but before I even get out of the door it’s smears because I have very dry eyes and they tear up constantly and all of my shadow runs off or flakes off. Doesn’t matter if it’s high end or drugstore, very irritating. Maybe this will help. Awesome video as always!
Do you have a video on soft wing liner?
Wow! You are great! Keep doing what you’re doing because you are great at it! Btw, you do love your Charlotte Tilbury don’t you? Lol
