My advice whilst learning this rn myself is to keep packets fairly small about 5-10 cards as not only can you do it for longer but its easier to do

Thanks to folks like yourself, my skills at cardistry continue to improve. There is one area I have trouble with your tutorials even though they are more professional than most. I am sure it is just me however. But here is my problem in a nutshell: due to my drastically differently arranged hands I require more advice/instruction on finger placement. When I compare finger and pivot locations between instructors, I find my hands function like your own- just smaller but it is np at all for me (I just need to add a small packet rotation here and there that you don't that's all.) Basically I am merely requesting more detail on finger locations and perhaps how much pressure you apply at critical moments (examples like "only enough to secure the packet" or "enough to bow and energize the card" or "with just a little added strength for we intend to rotate this packet soon" etc. I get easily confused as to exactly where to pinch or grab when packets rotate. All that being said... you, sir, are one of the best instructors out there on KZread. You ROCK! A professional, compassionate, understanding and patient teacher. I wish you health, wealth and happiness.

Thank you kindly for the response. Many do not bother. Funny how a one handed shuffle is no longer difficult for me but the Sybil still eludes me. It's those rotating packets! Lol. When I need to initiate some packet spin or rotation, my brain seems to pause and lock up not knowing where to change locations of my fingers. Perhaps that is truly my source of difficulty- changing grips. In light of this, I have tried my own variation of the Scissor (depositing a packet in front, then back, then middle and finally in front.) Experiment's results are inconclusive unfortunately. Oh btw, I did see one interesting thing done by an instructor: when multiple packets are involved and tape/rubber band is suggested, he used packets of different colored backings for obviousness so students do not get confused as to which packet is being referred to. Near the end he would simply say things like "the red packet- not the blue" or "we pivot on the green packet and intend to drop it on the yellow packet." Sweet idea, yes? It is not my idea of course. Hope you don't get in trouble using that idea. It is a good one.

Same here, I can do a Swing cut, Swivel cut, no problem, but the finger placing for rotations to happen, I am not getting it at all, really frustrating.. I will keep on practicing other things and come back here later on.

Relaxing sounds in the background like birds and soft music. Learning cardistry can be frustrating at times and those effects and environments calm people down immediately. What if I could somehow send you a flashdrive and you download your vids on that in any way you like. Yes, I could do that myself via your suggestion but here is a couple reasons why I ask: 1) when the drive gets to me and I open her up it will be like the ultimate Christmas present or birthday. My BD is coming soon. 2) I very much would like to financially assist you folks and would like to pay you for this service. I am open to negotiations. Have you thought of making DVD's and selling them with such content? I would be a buyer, sir. I think many here might agree with me that you could make some coin here. How many of you KZreadrs out there would pay for instructional videos from Grant? I certainly would and I know many instructors. Those others? I would not pay them. No sir.
