@@lordjosephleetownley7742 My initial comment is over 8 years old with only a small handful of likes. I don't even know how you saw this comment to be honest. I was in high school back then; I now have a bachelor's degree from an engineering school (two concentrations in engineering, one in mathematics). Looking at it now, I see that it does not work with any 3-digit number that has the same first and last number. As far as I'm aware, that is the only exception. But hey, thank you for bringing it to my attention nearly a decade later! Glad I could clear things up for you, "smart arse" :) Next time I look for "easy dice magic tricks," I'll be sure to calculate the proofs so I can know exactly which numbers do and do not work. Thanks again! 😃👍

@@oxfordwolfe It's cool that you went into the future to comment on your past comment
The numbers will always end up being a multiple (or negative multiple) of 99, because if you take (100x+10y+z)-(100z+10y+x), you get 99x-99z. These multiples will always add up to 1089 when reversed (or made positive and then reversed) except for 0 and 99, which I assume he would have used some trick to make work (such as making 99 into 990, which actually would work).
Guys, this is easy! 1089 is always the answer! Pick any combination of 3 numbers between 1 and 6 and do the thing. The answer is always the same! If it happens that original number is smaller than the one with reversed numbers (like 215 and 512) do not subtract 215-512. Rather make some excuse or funny comment and subtract 512-215.

I applaud you for keeping that faith for more than a few minutes. I might as well have lost it the day I was born.
I learned a trick like this on ScamSchool where you do the same thing except you go to page 108 in a book and memorize the 9 word secretly before the trick begins. You do the math and tell them to flip to the first three digits page. Then you tell them to count nine words over and reveal it in any way. I like to do it by saying how many letters are in it and asking for the last letter. Then I reveal it. It amazes!
it works every time no matter what numbers you choose

Plazity did a perfect explanation on how this works!
@albinoslam1970 oh yeah, I forgot. I learnt it without the dice. It only works when the first and last digits are two or more digits away from eachother or something like that(e.g. 654, 327, etc.)
Thank You! I thought i was the only one!
@yes4me Therefore all the combinations possibles after the first step are (note that the second number is always 9): 99*2 = 198 99*3 = 297 99*4 = 396 99*5 = 495 Therefore all the combinations possibles after the second step are: 198 + 891 = 1089 297 + 792 = 1089 396 + 693 = 1089 495 + 594 = 1089
@ScaffaBoy18 yeah, you're right, in fact it should be without dices, because the numbers should all be different, but the trick is nice of course!!!
If you are interested and know math. This is the math behind the trick: if a, b, and c are three different 1 digit numbers and a > c abc-cba = x9y , y=(10+c-a) and x=(a-c-1) x9y + y9x = 101*(x+y) + 180 x+y = (a-c-1) + (10+c-a) = 9 101*(x+y) + 180 = 101 * 9 + 180 = 909 + 180 = 1089
1. It works ONLY on 3 different numbers like: 654, 345, 341... and so on. 2. The final result is always 1089 or (-1089) depend on your first minus. *For example: 456 - 654 = (-198) Then add with (-891) (-189) + (-891) = (-1089) In this video, some how he made the first roll is 6 (the biggest number of the dice), and 2 next times are difference number.
the first number can be written as 100a+10b+c, when inverted it is 100c+10b+a. the subtruction yields 100*(a-c)-(a-c) =100*(a-c-1)+90+(10-(a-c))=99*(a-c).this number inverted is 100*(10-a-c)+90+(a-c-1)=1089 - 99*(a-c) so the sum yields 1089 alway for any 3 aon digit numbers a, b, c
I love it
I think you are so genious. How did you do that??? Can you predict the next winning lottory number using die only??? Perhaps you are the new propthet we have been waiting for...
If we let a, b, c denote the three digits of the original number, then the three-digit number is 100a+10b+c. The reverse is 100c+10b+a. Subtract: (100a+10b+c)-(100c+10b+a) to get 99(a-c). Since the digits were decreasing, (a-c) is at least 2 and no greater than 9, so the result must be one of 198, 297, 396, 495, 594, 693, 792, or 891. When you add any one of those numbers to the reverse of itself, you get 1089!
You are awesome
As long as your first # is higher than the 2nd two, you will always get 1089. If you get sequential #'s (1+2+3 or 4+5+6) you will always get 693. Or, rolling the first two the same, and the 3rd roll one digit higher (2+2+3 or 3+3+4) will give you 0. Just simple math folks! (Although I see in the comments, some people have problems with that! :-P )
Love 💕 your spirit Brilliant And Talented From the heart ♥️ ( DADA AM 🇺🇸🇸🇦🇱🇧🇮🇹🇲🇰
i got the sick chills too
Here's an idea for you people who think he is stupid by saying 4-6=8. It can't be done so add 10 to 4 so that makes it 14-6=8
your math genius cuz ur tricks are always in touch with math
u go, lefty!!!! ;)
@BlackOrBeat that was the first thing i noticed because i tried to mimic his moves and couldn't, cause e does everithing with the wrong hand.... that is why it is so hard to copie his moves... like in the botle cap trick, so simple ... just not like that....
It does not matter what dice you roll. The prediction of 1089 will be the same every-time, what changes is the calculations. Some take two calculations. Some take three. Sometimes you have to subtract your original three numbers from its inverse. But by inverting the numbers you will eventually get 1089. Genius.
@Blake25Rules

It is the kind of trick that only works when you do it once. If you repeat the trick you give it away. But it is cool math trick.
I like this dude
I love that glass!! i wish Coca-Cola still giving them!
Easy, if the first and the last digit are the same, you'll get 0. If the first digit is smaller than the last digit, you'll get -1089 and if the last digit=first digit +/- 1, then you'll end up with 99 after the subtraction. Thought, in order for the trick to work, you need to stay with 3 digits numbers. So the number 99 must be seen as the number 099 which if you reverse become 990. (099+990=1089)
@alanleal6 hahahahaha....... you just make me laugh non-stop!!
AND 121, 131, 141, 151, 161, 212, 232, 242, 252, 262, 313, 323, 343, 353, 363, 414, 424, 434, 454 464, 515, 525, 535, 545, 565, 616, 626, 636, 646, and 656! And I think for combinations where the 3rd number is greater than the first number.
@olavcolav15 youre right, just brought some random examples
Awesome
Nice trick :-) watch also my favourite Dice and magic card trick from Bayern Munich
It either has to do with Euler and summation or limits just not sure
awesome
@apostolis633 - No, the correct term is die. If it's more than one, it's dice. Singular is die.
Any number by 3 dice is : (a)(b)(c) = 100a + 10b + c when you reverse it : (c)(b)(a) = 100c + 10c + a when you subtract them the result is : 99 * (a-c) if a-c is 0 or 1 the trick will not work, but for any number between 2 and 10 (of course in this trick it cant be more than 5) the result of this multiplication is a 3 digit number, that the middle one is 9, and the sum of the other 2 numbers is 9 again! 198, 297, 396, 459, 594 ... If you sum such number with its reverse it always makes 1089
its just that its self working it can be done with and 3 numbers its just the way you u subtract and that
im too lazy to check the math with other numbers but i've seen a trick that u can make the dice give u the same number every time u throw it so my guess is u used 3 different dice and u already knew the result :) or its a simple math trick that works with most numbers :P in the end whatever u did was pretty cool :D
it is SO easy! The answer is always 1089 unless u take a small number in the beginning and then invert or take recurring numbers like 111,222,333,444,
Everything he did was correct, he did not write out the steps. For instance everyone is complaining the 3-3... you must carry the (10)'s over to subtract which is how he got 8 on the first number leaving 12 in the middle column subtracting 3 to get 9. Basic mathematics
@rajbergdxz97 If you want to know why you always get 1089(if you don't get 0 and if you subtract the smaller to the larger), look at SingingBanana's explanation. It is kinda good
And I thought I was the only the only person who got affected by the sound of that marker
First time watching ur all right
That was pretty good! Try this for fun: 1.Take your shoe size and add 2 zeros 2.Subtract the year you were born. 3. Add the year it is today. The last 2 numbers should be your age or the age you turn this year.😉🌲❤

Yep! Correct...I'm 56. How did you know? Ha ha...I love that one. Move to the head of the class. 👍
@Slashdeath97 ur not the only one!!!
@LoVeUmYpRiNcEsS If you get a below 0 number then on the second reverse you have to subtrackt and it still works. Not sure why though, yet.
@yes4me 1.2 Assumption a-c==1 (ex: original number "abc" could have been 928, 827, 726, etc...) 2nd step: 99*(a-c) = 99 => 99 + 99 = 198 2. Assumption a=c number LOOKS LIKE: "aba" 1st step: aba-aba=0 2nd step: 000+000 = 000 = 0
thumbs up for the squeeky pen :)
The explanation to this trick is very simple - it is self working
@TheSeattlegreen I think it actually works with all numbers
I now realise the maths is correct lol

Hey! I knew this trick before i sam this video!
ES6? The solution? No matter what numbers you use, the result will always be 1089! You still look like Castle! Love that show, btw!
it also works with certain numbers that are not on the dice like 943. (978 for instance doesnt work) 943-349=594 594+495=1089 exceptions: it doesnt work when the first and last number are the same (like 434, 515, 626, but also 666, 333, 444). This results in 0.
He rounded up!!!!

simple: the difference between a number made by three digits and its reverse is 198, when the difference between the first digit and the last one is 2, so 198+891=1089
It is a math trick rather than a dice trick. The number 1089 is the consistent number that comes when you add the reverse of one number after subtracting your first one. Good trick though, sorry to spoil it.
yeah
What is the video called
@Alenalel its not the top 3 turns into a 2 because u have to borrow and u have to borrow again so it becomes 12 and 12-3=9
@yes4me PERCENTAGE OF THIS NOT WORKING: In the case of a normal numbers, the number can only go from 0 to 9 There are 10^3 = 1000 total combinations. There are 10 chance of getting a-c=1, which lead to 198 There are 10 chance of getting a=c, which lead to 0 There are 20/1000 = 2% chance of the result not being 1089.
how did you do it?
the pic of his youtube channel looks like he is from that one santa movie
Looks like a mathematical trick where the answer will always be the same. I could be wrong though.
Because of the way I could hear that marker...I therefore could smell it...the real one know this lol
how many times till it took him to get that backwards throw right?
That marker gives me goosebumps.
GOAL!
As long as the initial 3-digit number is not symmetrical, you get the same 1089. Assuming you use absolute values of all numbers. Otherwise you get -1089 is the first digit of the initial number is lower than the last digit.
@Dennys787 i was talking about the math part not the trick part :)
