The pattern for these hats is good, but I've found chaining 2 at the beginning of each row gives it a clunky seam. I've been chaining one instead and it's a much smoother finish and less noticeable seam.

Great tutorial. A little fast for newer beginners. Question: my baby hat turned into a beret somehow? Followed the tutorial, used the right sized hook. No idea what happened.

I would really appreciate it if you would say the size of the hooks by their "Letter" instead of by the NUMBER ....that being because i have a hook that says 4.o mm that it says is a size F, then another hook says 4.0 mm but that one says it's a G! So which is the correct size? That's why I think if YOU say the Letter Size Hook, it would be less confusing. Thank you.

where do you get your darning needles from?? I have looked everywhere and can't find any like yours and the ones you use seem to make weaving in ends soooooo easy.

You'll have to find a different pattern for the yarn size you have. It's the best way without deforming the hat.

Perhaps you're add stitches, have you thought about starting again! Make sure you count your first 5 rounds! As you go around to make sure you are exact. I've made 2 of these hats now and both have come out perfect first time. It is absolutely essential that you count the first stitches in the first few rows. You should not be increasing unless you're not count right! X

Hey Mikey you lost me you started by saying how you went off the road but then on the other rows you didn't explain how to end the other rows I would have appreciated that it would be more clear for me because I'm not sure what I'm doing sometimes.
