Note: If you are wanting to adjust the starting row in the rectangle granny, use a multiple of
3. For example, a starting chain of 36 will get you 10 granny clusters in your center instead of the 5 I started with in the video (21 chains)

I also had two stroke and was about to talk, write, walk etc again. I was always a crocheter and I was afraid I wasn’t going to be able to crochet again it been 9 years now, I had to learn to crochet again but with KZread I learned again and learn more stitches and techniques. I also improved my knitting and sewing. It was at my own pace, rewinding over and over again. KZread is great for learning new things and improving new skills for seniors. I hope they stop trying to change it.

I am catching up on all of your older videos Roz and I must say your instructions on these are the BEST! I have been trying so many Granny Rectangle tutorials and some people make them so difficult for old lady (a 75 year old beginner) crippled fingers to follow. Your rectangle granny is PERFECT for me. Thank you so much for such awesome tutorials!❤🦋

I liked your comment about not "unseeing" a mistake. Because I do many different types of crafting and needle work I have made my share of mistakes. I am also a bit of a perfectionist so when I have made mistakes--crochet, cross-stitch, tiny bead weaving, painting--I obsess about it to the point of driving my poor husband nutty. Finally he asked me to show him the general area of a mistake and said if he could pick it out without me identifying it right away then it was probably worth trying to fix. He said if he couldn't find it, most people would probably not notice it either. That was about 20 years ago and this method still works for me. He has also learned a great deal about crafting himself!

I absolutely love that you hold your working yarn the same way I do. My grandma and aunt tried for so many years to make me hold it with my pointer finger sticking up in the air, and I could never get it. As an adult, I picked up yarn again and did it my way, and now I am so good at it, and discovering many people hold it alternative ways and that is absolutely OK!

Happy Thanksgiving ! I have to admit that I am utterly addicted with the Granny Square for its nostalgic quality and versatility. In this video, I share how the infinity granny/rectangle is truly one of the easiest blankets you can make if you are a beginner. Limited counting and only chains/ double crochets are needed to whip this up. This is also a great "go to" if you are a seasoned crocheter wanting to get some stash busting done! Hope you enjoy the video and let's play some hooky! xx
