Do you have larger sizes WITH ear flaps please ? So it's exactly the same hat? My son is 5 and loves ear flaps. Thank you 😊

The lady doing the lessons at HappyCrochet Club is doing a superb job. She explains ,step by step, very patiently and repeats every step. She has an excellent knack for explaining difficult steps. I have tried many crocheting groups but could not succeed as I’ve done with Happy Crochet Club. I asked for help with a Baby Bonnet and she happily complied. This is too cute! I used double strand 3mm yarn. I’m not sure what you used for yours. Mine feels a little heavy. Is it supposed to be heavy? I’m concerned it might be too heavy for the babies heads

To figure out the diameter of your flat circle all you need to know is the circumference of the head. An adult woman's head averages about 22 inches. The formula is to divide your circumference by 3.14. Head circumference 22 : 3.14 = 7.00 inches. Now you know your circle needs to be 7 inches. To get the correct height (from top of crown to bottom of the ear) you divide your circumference by 10 and multiply this number times 4. Head circumference 22 : 10 = 2.2 x 4 = 8.8. So the hat height should be 8.8 inches. Hats are generally made about an inch smaller in circumference than the circumference of the head. This keeps the hat fitting snug and to keeps it from falling off. Start the same like baby hat and continue increase until you will get 6.5" or 7" approx crown, then crochet down, also start with FPdc and last stitch also should be FPdc it is hide join stitches. Hope you can make. :)

Stripes you can make where you like. If you want ear flaps then you can make from this other video just leave more stitches for neck between one ear flap and other. Maybe 1 or 2 stitches more for ear flaps than baby size.

Sorry, No! All my patterns I making myself, I know what I need to do without patterns. I have only small notes start with dc12 for example until have 48 sts and crochet down its all what I have.

This is so lovely. Do you have a written pattern!

Hello, sorry I do not have a written patterns. All my designs and patterns I making myself, but when I do I write down small notes, I know all what I need to do without pattern like you think standard pattern. kzread.info/dash/bejne/em2Emc2Qoba_fag.html here the same hat better video, you need write down only hat crown and all hat need repeat the same FPdc and BPdc, if making ear flaps also need repeat skip first, crochet all stitches, ch 1, turn and again skip 1st until no stitches left. How many stitches should you have before you start ear flaps when I do my ear flaps I end up short of stitches at the end

Hi, I really do not know it is 2018 February video, very old I do not remember. Just make in neck part for example 8 stitches between ears and in the front part 12 or 14 stitches. also I have better video for the same hat. kzread.info/dash/bejne/em2Emc2Qoba_fag.html

does it has to be 2 strands yarn or can i do it with 1 strand yarn?

Yes you can 1 strand, there is many variations. But 1 strand will looks different loops will be smaller. But pattern can use yes. Just if yarn thin hat comes out smaller. You can watch this video first 5 min there I showing 2 strands or 1 strand you will see difference - adult hats kzread.info/dash/bejne/eKaW0bmbeq-nmJc.html but also you can use the same video grey baby hat and use chunky yarn or you can use this video for hat crown thin yarn kzread.info/dash/bejne/k5iFxruffpXQeaw.html when hat crown ready you continue with FPdc and BPdc. I will make video with 1 strand of yarn, but I do not know when maybe after 29th June. If you have experience you can work out, if not, then need wait for new video.
