Made this twice now. Excellent quick and easy recipe and both times it came out terrific! We found adding vanilla takes away from the slightly milky taste of condensed milk (which we quite liked) so it’s up to individual taste. We also added cut dried fruits second time around and they tasted great. Used self raising flour (same amount as in recipe without adjusting for baking soda) and was fine. And the measurements in grams are: Butter 57g, Flour 136g.

I added the zest of 1 lemon bc i love the subtle taste of lemon in cakes, cookies or pies. I haven't tasted it yet but it looks great, smells wonderful & i can't wait to try it! It was so easy im sure ill b making it again if i like it & i have no doubt that i will!

It was such a delicious and easy recipe! If you add honey and chopped cashews on top it's even tastier!

Self rising flour needs no baking powder and will work great in any recipe calling for flour and the required baking powder. We're looking to satisfy a sweet tooth and thos should be yummy. Thank you for your recipe and terrific video presentation❣

Mine is baking now. I licked the mixing whisk and it was so yummy! Can't wait until it comes out of the oven. Very simple recipe! I put it together from ingredients already on hand quicker than it would've taken me to go buy a store made cake. Great!

I made it adding 1/4 cup orange juice ( our flour here is more dry than the ones I’ve used overseas ) and 1 Tbsp orange zest. It turned out lovely. Thanks for sharing

@@V.E.R.O. Hi, slr, I followed the instructions in the description box: "Without Oven; Put wire stand inside the pan and preheat for 10 mins over medium heat. After 10 mins put baking pan on top of the wire rack. Cover and cook over medium heat for 30 mins"
