Thank you so much, well for my bag, I would like my bag to be strong so I use hard cotton yarn, if you prefer pure cotton yarn is okay, but please make sure you can add lining for your bag to make your bag strong. Thank you 😊 Happy Crocheting! 🧶

8 ply will be too big yarn :) maybe 4-5ply is better.

It's 3.5 mm. The number 6 is a number of crochet code in Japanese.
