Easy Chatti pathiri | Spring roll sheet chatti pathiri | chatti pathiri for beginners

Easy Chatti Pathiri -
#chattipathiri is a sweet or savory layered Malabar snack . I am making sweet and savory mixed version , spicy chip or filling and little sweet egg mix . If you don’t like the sweet egg version just add salt , pepper and coriander leaves to your egg mix .
For egg mix
Eggs-4
Coconut milk -1/2 cup ( or normal milk and little@coconut milk powder )
Sugar -2 tbs
Salt -1 tsp of more
Cardamom-2
Blend all together
For chicken filling
Chicken -2 cup
Onion -1 sliced
Tomato-1 sliced
Red chili powder -2 tsp
Turmeric-1/2 tsp
Ginger garlic paste -2 tsp
Garam masala-1 tsp
Pepper powder -1 tsp
Onion- 1 big chopped
Green chili-2 chopped
Salt
Oil
To chicken add onion , tomatoes, green chili, turmeric, red chili powder , salt , green chili and mix well and pressure cook it . Once cooked remove chicken and shred it , if any chicken stock reduce to a thick paste
To a pan add oil , add chopped onions, green chili, coriander leaves , cooked chicken , chicken stock paste , garam masala and pepper powder . Salt if needed and sauté well to a filling .
For chatti pathiri
Spring roll sheets - as many layers as you like
Egg mix
Chicken filling
Cashews - 2 tbs fried In ghee
Raisins -1 tbs friend in ghee
Poppy seeds -1 tsp optional
Ghee -2 tbs to fry nuts and grease pan
Non stick pan
Fry nuts in a pan , keep aside and grease the pan with the ghee . Dip spring roll sheets in egg mix and layer in the pan . Add two layers of sheets on the bottom . Then add the chicken filling , again spring roll sheets dipped in egg , chicken filing … layer as many layers you like . On top again cover with 2 or 3 sheets well . Make small cuts with knife so steam cooks well . Pour the left over egg on top , add the nuts , raisins and poppy seeds . Cover and cook in low sim fire for 15-30 min min . Be sure to place it on top of fry pan or fire reducer while cooking . So it doesn’t get burnt easily . Once it’s cooked (insert a tooth pick it wouldn’t be sticky , and sides would come out from pan too ) we can flip to a greased fry pan and cook the top part of the chatti pathiri . And it’s ready to serve you can cut and see all the layers .
