Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Hey y’all! Here is a quick and easy video on how to get cells using a base cell paste (or cell activator). In this video I am using:
Stonecoat art coat
Colour passion purple passion paste
Colour obsession light aquamarine paste
Colour obsession rich gold paste
Le’Rez angel white paste
All of which can be found on our website artisttilldeath.com/shop

Oh my God, this is amazing! You are very talented, my friend ❤
Looks like the night sky with the purple lightly over the white. Actually beautiful...
So basically, wherever there is epoxy/alcohol, as a base, the cells form easily. Alcohol does this trick, folks. Make your own cell activator, with alcohol plus epoxy. Another way, is to spray alcohol, and pearlescent mica powder over your epoxy. Your welcome.

Well, these cells weren’t made with alcohol but yes you can use alcohol. We use that technique with countertops. People need to be aware that if they use alcohol for cells that they need to let their resin “set” for a bit before adding the alcohol and mica spritz because if the resin is too fresh the cells will disperse fully… also, “*you’re welcome”. Thank you for sharing that tip - it’s truly another great way to get cells. Have an awesome day 🤗

Yes, thank you for demonstrating this cell activator. Plus I got to watch you make several nice coasters.
Thank you for sharing this. I never knew what a base was for so I have never bought one. But thanks to you now I can.

Great tutorial E :)
I was looking at your website at the color passion as a base coat for ocean waves and I only saw Wisteria passion is that your only blue base for cell action. I am in the Philippines and it is super hot here and even long action resin sets super fast here so. I go to the U.S. once a year and get supplies. Of course, I just came from the U.S a little over a month ago and can't get supplies till I g back next year, but I keep a list of supplies ongoing that I want to get. My new resin is being shipped should arrive soon. Anyway, the Wisteria looks a little too dark and too blue for the shoreline would love it lighter and more turquoise. What do you suggest? I was using Castin' Craft white. Just to say how fast my resin set is, I use a resin that says it has a 45min work time. I have to work faster than that and when I make free-form bowls it is ready to pick up and start molding in about 1 and a half hours, two hours and it is too hard to shape.
Wish you would do a flame video again
Erica does the metallic Color Passion work as a cell base or only the regulars pastes work. I will order some. Also any paste by for example color Obsession brand also work. Once I hear back from you I shall order. Thanks much.
How lon do you wait for your resin to thicken,or do you use a certain type resin?
Will this work if I use the colour passion paste on the bottom and alcohol inks added to resin on top?
That resin is pretty thick. Is that the key to getting better cells. If so, should only the base color be thick?
Thank you.
Good afternoon I love your work, a query how thick is the wood of the large pictures with ocean effect. It would be possible that you can show me the back of the picture to know how it is hung on the wall. Thank you very much for showing us your art, I am waiting for your answer, congratulations.

Hello! All of our pieces are now done on cradle boards from artisttilldeath.com/shop. The backs look just like the back of a canvas of corresponding size. Only difference is that there is no stretched canvas - it’s mdf so that the design doesn’t dip in the middle
Awesome
How much alcohol do you add to the epoxy base? Also do you know if this would also work with uv resin?
Thanks❤
How would I use your techniques with resin molds?
So cool! Is it possible to add color to the white base cell activator or will it ruin the way it works? Thanks 😊

You could but it would turn a pastel color. I would recommend just purchasing a cell activator that is the color you want. In this video the cell activator is the dark purple. Artisttilldeath.com/shop has like 40 cell activator colors (the brand is Colour passion and all of their pastes act as cell activators)

@@ArtistTillDeath Thank you for sharing!!!
What is the base cell and where do you get it.?
So the cells are a result of just the pigment paste and nothing else added?
I'm so curious what the active agent is in your resin cell activator! I've been wondering how to do this :)

Alcohol would do the trick. For sure. 91 percent or stronger. Isopropyl rubbing alcohol works too.
I went on your site looking for base cell colors, but the site could not find. Please advise.
How do you know what pigment is a base color?
I’m a little confused. New to this 😉. Did you add the colours to resin or was it just pure paint?

colors added to resin
Hi, I have this antique coffee table that has a 1 inch slab of marble dropped into the frame. The problem is that the marble is an awful shade of yellow! Can the marble be done over in resin?

How to buy the cells base from Italy ?
The purple looks like night sky
A answer to my question im searching for and cannot find so please help. Im doing a countertop and im wanting to make cells and stonecoat dont sell base tints anymore. If I use the dyes, will they make the cell effect like the base tints? if im adding metallics over the top of them. Im no artist, so probably a dumb question.

Not a dumb question at all. I actually have a line similar to the base tints the SC had. artisttilldeath.com/shop/ols/categories/colour-passion
