Easy Bench that Sells
This Rustic Farmhouse Bench Is Awesome. And, you can build it. I know you can. You can use this as a hallway bench, entry bench, anywhere really. It is 46"long x 16"wide x 18"tall.
Material List:
1 = 2 X 10 X 8'
1 = 2 X 12 X 8' * only need 4' long*
3 = 2 X 4 X 8' * 2 1/2 boards *
Cut List:
1 top = 16" X 46" X 1 1/2"
1 shelf = 11" X 43"X 1 1/2"
6 legs = 3" X 16" 1/2" X 1 1/2"
3 top support = 3" X 11" X 1 1/2"
4 "X" brace = 3" X 22" X 1 1/2"

Great bench! I want to make something similar for my family room and your build helps to fill in those details I hadn't yet thought of.

So the X's are more for looks? It seems that if you did a lap joint they would be stronger.

Hi Tim, yes, I just make the X's for looks. Nothing structural about them. I think a lalf-lap is probably the best way. For sure. I just wanted to show an easy alternative. Especially if someone doesn't have the tools to do it. Thanks for watching and your comment.
