Awe, what a sweet episode. I got teary-eyed when your daughter was painting and you talked about the full circle of her and the original artist being connected. Just lovely how you take the history into account in your process. Very nice result and I love the way you measured the drawer paper on the outside of the drawer so you weren't struggling with the inside walls. Such a simple solution and I'm definitely going to use that tip!

I think you have the skills and thoughtfulness to take on safely removing lead paint. Perhaps that stripper that renders the lead inert can help? P.S. I’m a surprise “fan of the tan”; I’m usually “down for the brown”. Well done!

That absolutely melted my heart when you said it was your daughter painting. I felt that it’s was a community 100 years ago everybody would chip in and do something and we need to do more of that for us so it was very moving and it is very beautiful

Gorgeous! I love how the wash hints at the wood tone. Restoring furniture is really a labor of love…emphasis on labor! Stripping, wiping, sanding…rinse and repeat again and again… Love all your work…and storytelling! ♥️♥️♥️

It’s lovely to see you back. Our flock of chookies is depleted too. We have one lady left. It’s coming into winter here in australia so we’ve moved her into the house for the night-she has her own little house inside the back door. I know all my other girls were holding out hope to be the inside chicken. Last girl standing won. Very sad though to lose my first chook the other day. She outlived nearly all of them and died of old age- she used to listen to French Jazz music with me and shared prawns and ice cream. What a life.

Andy, I am stunned! My eyes literally widened when you did the reveal. I think this is on par with the baby pink dresser you did. I would love to have this in my home! Elli's lovely contribution, and that gorgeous paper are the cherries on top. Well done, dear! As for the wooden bride, I think you can do it, just be careful. Chemically strip it in small pieces, taped off so that nothing gets missed, or accidentally sanded prematurely. "You can do it!" 😉

Fan for the tan. How great it was for your daughter to work along with you. She did a great job capturing the feeling of the old design. As for the bridle piece, hmmm That is a lot of lead paint and I know you can create a miracle with it. It probably would be too expensive to have the paint professionally removed. You'll need to thing that one over for a while. Enjoy your vlogs

I really like the paint wash. It’s perfect over the red mahogany. When you removed the hand painted detail I thought a transfer or paint inlay would be your choice to use but your daughter’s artwork is so much better. I especially enjoyed this video.

When you added the several coats of wash over the hand painted art work, all I could think of was it's the furniture painters version of sky diving which. I done several times, and when you leave the plane there is a moment or two of breathlessness...
