    So true that you can recognize a song just with a small riff of the bassline. In my younger years I used to place the bassline as a secondary thing but later in life I realized how important the bass is in a song especially in Funk.

    You're right mostly the great bass riffs are mostly in funk but there's all kinds of great bass riffs in rock, jazz, blues too...

    Just starting to play bass and I notice you only pluck with one finger most of the time is that the best way to go.

    Well if you don't know James jamerson he always played with one finger that he called the hook but whatever is more comfortable do it play with the bass like you would a vagina smooth and nice and rough and tough when you need to go there!!! Heard that from one of my great friends Phil out in LA boss skank
