Hey man, subbed and commenting because I have searched for so long for something like this. I have been fruitlessly searching for bedrock flying machines and elevators, but the search yields the same few popular youtubers doing the same things over and over. All of it is outdated and none of it is what I want. Not sure how I stumbled upon one of your earlier videos, but fortunately followed your comments to this updated one. I had to leave a comment because your willingness to join other people's worlds and help them figure out where they went wrong is just above and beyond. I know comments help the channel and I really want to see where you go! Not long after watching this I figured out a solution* to what I needed (a 2x2 elevator) on my own, but I'm still really excited to try this out soon in a future build. Thanks for doing what you do! *for anyone interested, I didn't realize honey wouldn't stick to slime so you could put two flying machines next to each other. One of your earlier videos helped that click. Also, no one else seemed to provide such a handy list of blocks that slime blocks won't pull. I thought it was only glazed terra and obsidian!!! Thanks again!

No that only works on Java edition unfortunately, I recommend using moss to decorate the elevator shaft cos it’s cheap and pretty :)

hey great build ! i’ve rebuilt it 3 times and each time it didn’t work lmao, i have faith it will, the first time it went up but not down, second time it split into two, the bottom section only went up and down, and the third, well was a mess, i slowed the video down too, no blocks are clipping with anything i’m not sure what to do i’ll keep trying

The only issue Im having is getting the call buttons to actually call the elevator up/down. Signal goes but no movement.

I've made a multifloor bubble elevator but I was looking for something like this but multifloor WITH A CALL FEATURE. I've looked at other videos and they ALL lack a call function so they're technically useless. I'm trying to make an underground casino designed similar to Balamb Garden's from Final Fantasy 8's octogonal design. The elevator is the entrance and it needs to be multifloor as there needs to be the "GROUND" floor, two basement floors below and one floor above (so from the bottom, three extra floors up but with various distances between each floor). This design is good as the spacing between floors can be varied and the call function makes it usable by anyone any time.

Nice video! Would you be able to design a multi floor function?

@@Akimitsu64 The zip file you posted isn’t working for me. From what I understand, you need to export it as a .mcworld file.

Still working on it with my shallow elevator lol. I used Java tho, even have some problems with redstone connecting to pistons, I managed to make it goes up and for second time one level up. I'll try to make my elevator deeper

Yes, I have a working multi-floor design smaller than I show at the end of the Video :) But I don’t know when the video will be out, I’m prioritising my assignments over youtube atm

Does it have to be a button or can I use observers detecting changes in chest inventory to activate the elevator?

Hi Firestar, Great question! You’ll have to use a pulse extender after the observer. I’d use a repeater on two ticks in front of the observer, going into a 2 comparator loop to do the Job if that makes sense? Then use a repeater to connect it to the elevator :) does this help? Also your chest opening will launch the elevator even if no items are moved

@@Akimitsu64 Yes this makes sense. I am using this with a hidden hopper that when collecting a specific item inserts it into a barrel. This part with connecting the observer was the only thing I couldn't figure out. Thank you so much!😀

Please help , my elevator is roughly 50 blocks down. I tried your call button method but it doesn’t work because only a few blocks stop receiving restone while the others going up don’t , in all it uses 2 repeaters from the bottom to the top to carry the signal to call it down , what do I do ???

Hi, sounds like you need to add a lot more repeaters on the call wires until the torch at the end of the call wires turn off. When the torches are off that is when it will work. You will probably also need to rebuild the elevator too, sorry. Broken call buttons usually break the elevator If it still doesn’t work please send some pictures over discord, I’m @Akimitsu64 I can help more when I can see what is going wrong and fix it :) Also sorry for delayed response I’ve been doing my final University assignments

Can you use furnace instead of obsidian or the glazed teroca? Because I don't wanna waste my 3 diamonds making a diamond pickaxe and mine obsidian.

No, this elevator is made for bedrock edition so please don’t use furnaces! They’ll break it! You can use glazed teracotta, moss, leaves, lodestone, shulkers (if you’re rich) instead of obsidian! As I show at 3:44

how deep is the hole? im trying to build this top to bottom since i want the elevator to go down.

It can be any depth you want The top floor is 8 blocks tall, and the bottom floor is 8 blocks tall, they can be touching or as far away as you like

Maybe something changed because no matter what elevator I make it only pushes the honey blocks and they never connect to the slime or maybe it pushes only the Slime and never connects to the honey

Hi, sounds like you may have blocks around the elevator sticking to the slime or honey and jamming the elevator. Be careful to only use obsidian and glazed terracotta in elevator shafts and in the floor around it, those blocks do not stick to slime or honey so the elevator will work like normal If that doesn’t work send me some pictures of your elevator on discord @Akimitsu64 and I can help you out there

That is strange, are there any blocks in the way of the wire? Find where the redstone dust stops glowing to find your problem. If you like we can get in touch on discord/xbox I can join and help fix the problem

I have a ISSUE The elevator goes up perfectly but when it goes down. FIRST it goes one block UP then goes down. When i put obsidian at the top to stop it going upwards. It works. Please help me bro

make sure your repeater at top is on 4 ticks

MAKE SURE YOU PUT THE OBSIDIAN WHEN MAKING THE TOP PART! (The obsidian at 2:23) I Didint do it and i had to restart the elevator.

Dose the shaft need to be a 5x5 or can it be 3x3 without messing it up

Hi, a 3x3 shaft needs walls made from certain blocks that don’t stick to slime or honey like obsidian, leaves, or glazed teracotta etc… (see 3:39 for more) If you don’t have these blocks to use you’ll need to use a 5x5 shaft. Hope I’ve helped :)

I certainly hope you do, many elevators seem to be broken currently and this design is the only one i dont glitch through the floor. Not to mention the potential of this designs aesthetic, appreciate the bedrock content we usually get left out

then when i delete the floor all the floor blocks except for the 3 bottom left hand corner only leaving one honey block exposed and all the slime blocks, then it goes up but still not correctly

Hi, without pictures I’m not sure what’s gone wrong. I’d Make sure there is space around your elevator. If there is stone/normal blocks on the elevator shaft walls then the slime and honey will stick to it and stop moving. Also make sure the observers are facing into the top slime blocks If you’re still having trouble would you like to get in touch on discord or xbox? Screenshot Pictures are really helpful for finding and fixing problems

Are you using a stone button? Check the repeater is on 4 ticks of delay and only use wooden buttons, you’ll have to rebuild the moving elevator part unfortunately.

That’s ok, The signal just hasn’t reached the the whole way and you need to add some repeaters like I show at 4:11 If the repeaters glow, then you know they’re working :) Does this help?

@@Football_-_ You’ll need to go up/down the wire and find where the redstone dust stops glowing, that’s where the problem is. There will either be a block in the way of the signal or you need more than one repeater

The build starts 8 blocks bellow the ground floor as I say in the Intro. But the Elevator can go as deep underground as you want :) just make sure the sides of the elevator don’t touch stone

Ok, what blocks do you have nearby the elevator? Usually this happens when the elevator reaches some blocks like stone and gets stuck to them. If this has happened I recommend using leaves, moss, or obsidian blocks around the elevator instead because they don’t stick to honey or slime - this has to be all along the elevator shaft and the just the elevator itself will need rebuilding Hope this helps :)

So would really love to see the multifloor version that's mentioned in the description. I got this working but I really need it multifloor for this casino I'm building. Designed similar to Balamb Garden in Final Fantasy 8, the entry is actually the elevator (instead of the front gate, which is where the casino part will be) so it's an integral part of my build due to having a "hidden" room higher up and I can't seem to figure out how to make this multifloor myself. I can see how it gets caught by the stone but I don't get how to make it decide to go up or down so I'm guessing it's one of the observers...
