I been wanting to do this for awhile . I love butterfly's . Wouldn't it been easier to just turn the cardstock sideways then doing it through design space ?

could u stick some little pieces of that double sided foam so the wings always stay spread? great video by the way, new subscriber and will be making these for my daughter

Yes that will work too if you want it to lay flat. Bending them keeps the wings out

The first time I cut the top layer it cuts no holes in the wings.

Not yet! To learn how to do design SVGs would take multiple videos. But I could probably do one showing my process for a design.

The svg downloaded but couldn't be opened

Hi , I am trying to down load this SVG but when I go to do it, it down loads other websites that I dont want. Is that the catch?

Nope no catch. It only downloads the SVG. If you can send a screen shot so I can see what the issue is to hello @ dailydoseofdiy . com we’ll get it figured out and email you the file

PS glitter is also banned in my house 😂
