    wonderful video , but for us older folks, could you slow down just a little, I had to rewind a couple of times to grasp everything. Also, could you explain why you're using the sizes you are using in wire and other crimps and fasteners? Is it because of the size and weight of the beads? Or is there another reason or another video that could explain the purpose for using certain sizes or metals. Thank you

    I love this....thank you so much. For our local Girl Scout troop I donated a beading party using stretchy cord where the girls could make two bracelets each. They loved it and I think I got most of them hooked. lol. Have a great Thanksgiving. toodles debs from Texas.

    +Rosita Barriosb well it depends upon the size, but in each case we used one of our 16" strands of glass pearls, so 3 strands total. The 8mm have about 50 per strand, and the 6mm have about 67.

  • @Potomacbeadco

    Hi Laura, when you lay the beads out straight, they're different lengths, because to wear them, they need to drape one below the other. If you make each strand and just have the ends of the wire held by the bead stopper, you can check the lengths individually, and then add or remove beads as needed. Check again until you're happy with their lengths. Allow for the way the are linked together and the added clasp. You will need to practice to get it perfect, but that's what bead stoppers are about! 😃

    Won't the crimp tubes scratch up the neck since they don't have crimp coverings over them?

  • @Potomacbeadco

    @Potomacbeadco

    8 жыл бұрын

    No crimp tubes are quite small, so they won't reach past the beads or clasp to touch the skin. If you want to though, you can always add crimp covers.

    Hi Amisadia, you might need better crimp beads. Beadalon is a good brand. Make sure your wires are parallel going through the crimp before you flatten it. Crossed over wires can pull out.
