Eastwood Guitars Airline Bighorn Demo
Музыка
In this video I'm checking out the Airline Bighorn guitar from Eastwood: a funky-looking, great-sounding tribute to the 60s catalog guitar. This is a sponsored video, but I'm not told what to say, so all opinions are my own. For more information: eastwoodguitars.com/products/...

I checked out their website for the first time after Adrian showed off the McGeoch. I've never seen such a unique line up of guitars. I will for sure own a sparkly Airline before the end of the year.

Uff that was such a solid track! Tones, playing, groove - everything on point!
They may have been budget once, they certainly aren't anymore, though they remain very desirable if only for their interesting designs, but they also sound petty awesome, especially in your capable hands. Thanks P.J.Harvey and Jack White for having cool taste, bugger. 😎🎙🎸✅

Agreed, but I would call 715 CAD a budget guitar.
Don't own an Eastwood but I find myself constantly drooling over what they have on their website.
what a brilliant wee jam
Love the intro
Sounded awesome
Monstrous 😳
That is a sweet sound.......WOW
I got too many guitars. One would have to go. Love unique guitars. Love the red one.
Gott myself an Eastwood Airline Stratone H44 from 2014, 290€ on eBay.... By far my favorite guitar. If I should choose for the island between my '62 Gretsch , 2019 Gibson LP ....I would be in trouble.... Amazing guitar!
I love oddball guitars! I’ve had the Bighorn on my watch lists for years. The only color you can find in lefty is lime/pea green, and that’s a hard pill to swallow. I do love that shape though! It’s nice to see someone play one. Thanks for the review!

As a lefty, it sure beats only having black as the option.
Has a very nice chime with undertoe warmth
If not for massive import duties and country taxes, I would 100% buy an airline for sure or maybe even the McGeoch 1000 which was also demonstrated by Adrian in multiple vids. I think Valco made some really special guitars design wise back in the day and Eastwood revitalizes those models pretty accurately I'd say (and with playability improvements).
Used to drool over these all the time but none of my local music stores had them stocked so I never got the chance to try one out. Been loving the new finishes they've been offering though, might have to track one down

We do have a 45 day no risk return policy (and, we drool over these new finishes too!)
Very warm tone.
Elegant guitar actually... and elegant play (as usual) I might add. Eastwood has an impressive catalog of "tribute" guitars. Have you seen "Hooky" guitar ?
Thanks for offering examples of the clean, unadulterated sound. It's nice to know what the guitar actually sounds like. I'm so tired of demos that are nothing but fuzz.
By far my favorite Eastwood Airline is the Tuxedos and Jupiter's. The Tuxedos though are just too darn expensive

I have a Tuxedo, and the P90s on it are a favorite of mine.
Excellent playing/sounds! Love it. I have been looking at it for a while......you just proved why I should own one. By the way what gauge strings is it strung with. Guitar pick.
At one point, I had 6 Eastwoods (I have owned 9). They were hit or miss, but the price was right and I was just starting to collect guitars. I no longer have any, but the only one I really miss is the Stormbird and maybe the Sidejack. As I tried more expensive models, I found myself continually disappointed in the quality of both sound and overall build, but they sure look cool.
Interesting voice
Right taken with them aren't ya? Good call.
Great stuff! I have a real one, single neck pickup, very bluesy(:

Sorry i did mean Eastwood, thanks for the correction.
Adrian can you please do a tutorial on I Am Big Cheif Radio Luxemburg by the Deep Freeze Mice
What I'd like to know about Airline/eastwood is why the huge price jump? These guitars were in the 4-700 dollar range. Now some are over 1000 Dollars. I've played on several of these guitars. They are ... OKish. Great for 400 bucks but 1000? No way.

I agree. I have an Eastwood/Airline H59 - basically a Harmony Rocket. It has great cool factor but apart from that, it's just a run-of-the-mill Chinese guitar. I paid about $US800 and I couldn't honestly recommend it at that price.

Absolutely agree I’d pay $400-500 for this guitar but $1000+??? Lol
I'll add this. They look REAL heavy. North of 10 lbs easily. Am I wrong here A ?

Actually, it's 7 lbs. :)
When Argos started in the UK, they carried the Kay brand of crappy, budget guitars. For some insane reason they all now cropping up on ebay for silly money.

They were in the UK long, long before Argos, Woolworths used to stock them in the early 70s.

They were truly awful. The tremolo arm looked like a bicycle kickstand.

Just don't like it. To my ears it sounds as if the speakers are busted. I don't remember them and I come from that era.
Chinese made. Pass.
