White Anglo-Saxon Protestant Christian and the j word people..... If a Mexican-American person is assaulted on the light rail prosecution will not prosecute more than a misdemeanor even if the use was weapon was involved. Budget and delays are annoying but as more stations are developed alongside transit oriented housing/food & entertainment, the return on investment really starts showing. I scoffed at the 2 Line while it was being developed but after using it to commute to work, I'm happy we have it and more people will as time goes on.

Car keys equal freedom, public transportation is no where near the same thing. They ride trains in Asia because they’re too damn poor to drive themselves, otherwise they would. The transportation system built around the automobile in the United States was an inarguable example of our individual liberty and economic success.

Key word is WAS. It WAS an example of success. At the time, it showed that we had the money and resources to WASTE to be able to put every single American in their own car, taking up valuable space for each person. Public transport is the future of transport, because ultimately it is sustainable and driving is very bad for mental and physical health. It's dangerous and it's extra work to get everywhere. But some people seem to be addicted to having a difficult life. People in developed countries can both drive AND take the train, and no one drives because normal people HATE driving. There is no excuse for having an underdeveloped and outdated public transport network. Remember that it wasn't developed this way based on merit-It was developed this way because the auto industry lobbied/bribed politicians for more roads and car infrastructure throughout the 50s-70s and it continues today. As a ramification of having legalized corruption, we now have to play catch-up with the rest of the world, and we are roughly 30 years behind.

Do you know why those dams are getting removed? Clearly not so I’ll explain it to you. They are getting removed because the flow rate of those two rivers has decreased so water is becoming stagnant behind some of the dams and causing water quality problems. Think before you speak
