Just a man running his own equipment, what a joy! How proud you must be, kind sir. Looks like a great machine. I appreciate Eastonmade catering your products to different needs based on diverse buyers. Keep cuttin' Andrew!
This is how eastonmade gets up sold so easily. I like the ultra but need a log lift. I like the 5/11 but want a little faster cycle time, the 9/16 is great but would like the auto cycle, the 12/22 has it all but maybe I need a little more tonnage, ok 22/28, but would like the speed back now that I have the tonnage, guess I will go diesel. F it order me the 60c and call it a day.

Haha yep just enough difference for the financial opportunity. But they are built so well, probably could rent them out to cover the price!
I’m not currently in the market for a splitter, but if/when I do decide to purchase one it will most likely be an Eastonmade. I like it when a business person doesn’t badmouth the competition. His comment that “there are a lot of good machines on the market and you can’t go wrong with any of them” is the sign he is confident in the quality of what he sales. I really like his honesty and humbleness. And yes, he makes a good product and it shows.
Looks like white ash. There has been alot of that split on Chris's Ultra. The dryer it is the harder it is.
That’s a great machine! You know what they say, slow and steady wins the race! Not to mention is going to last for years to come!
I’ve researched a few of your competitors and I have come to the conclusion that you have the best product out there
Looks like a perfect machine for someone not doing firewood full time. No need to hurry if you are just doing firewood as a side hustle/hobby. Still well built for sure!
Love your splitters! I’ll send you the video of the mods I did on Adam’s Axis this weekend. It uploads Sunday on my channel, One Eye Customs
The 5-11 is all the machine the average homeowner needs. Will do it all, just slower than the bigger models. Now for firewood production it is slow. But that's why bigget models are made, to give the consumer a wide selection of machines to choose the right one for them.
You must smile all day seeing the great products your awesome employees produce.
Thanks for the Display Andrew, that's exactly what I'm looking for. Have a great weekend.
Really great video Andrew! Thanks for showcasing this machine! It’s definitely a power house and can take on some of those larger rounds for sure! Great to see how it handled them there! Really enjoy your channel! Really like your products! Andrew from NB :)
You are the reason, I am smiling today

Hahahaha.. Click Bait!!!😂
That tall wedge is nice, add the large push block and you definitely can increase production! Stacking multiple pieces on top of one another is something I often see people failing to do.
I got to see one of your machines in person last year. It was a long ways from where she was built and that’s in Clarksville,TN , if I’m not mistaken it was a 22-28 a beast regardless . The guys business is called Woodchucks Firewood. I knew you built awesome awesome machines and seeing it in person made me want one even more than just when I watch them on KZread!
Now that is my kind of splitter. Don't need anything fast being as I don't sell wood, so I'm not in it for production. Great product Andrew Keep up the good work. Until next time have a great day
The tall 4 way is my personal favorite. I rarely use the other wedges.
Hey Andrew how are you doing great video and great spliter
Been thinking you should do one of these videos. Cuz I agree…
😍great🔥🔥 It's engaging!❤️
The tall 4-way is nice.
Just getting ready to finish up blocking my logs for the year and then out comes the 12-22 for the second season. If I was doing smaller cordage, I'd have definitely gone with a 5-11. Hard to beat the speed and power of the 12-22. Just one problem with it... Hard to keep all that wood away from it without a conveyor!
Looks good my firend though I wonder about a box wedge on it,,, or is it just a tad too small motor wise ?
Great video Andrew. I love my 5-11, ordered it with the auto cycle . The log lift is a great back saver when splitting some of the bigger tree service wood I get, looked like you had some standing dead dried out ash . 👍👌💪🇨🇦🇺🇸

What was the price on the 5-11?

@@kevinmcquitery4543 hey Kevin - so I’ve had mine for 2 1/2 years now- gave 8500. Delivered to Carbondale (southern Illinois) . A lot of money- yes - but such an awesome heavy duty piece of equipment.

@@marclauzon1882 do they finance these or cash only?
@marclauzon1882

@@kevinmcquitery4543 cash or card (with a card use fee ) . I’m not certain on how far out orders are booked up but I bet somewhere 12 to 16 months out after you get them a build security deposit. Eastonmade has a good website and they were great to work with.
Tyy
I could use one of those
Looks like a great machine! My only concern is you nearly stalled the engine on a couple of those knotty rounds and when you lower the log lift.
@EastonmadeWoodSplitters
Жыл бұрын
All of our machines do that. There is a restrictor in the hydraulics to make the speed of the lift manageable
Of 5-11s, I don,t know. But the 12-22 has been very, very good to me! LOL ;-)) Shalom/gw
Have you ever thought about making the front edge serrated or even just a relief section or two? That long front edge can take a lot of pressure to push through

@@EastonmadeWoodSplitters I think the all wood design is a bit more practical but if you skip to 3:45 in this video, it's where I first heard about this theory. Just may be something to tool around with if your bored and resigning kzread.info/dash/bejne/X3t4yrSeadWWoso.html

@@EastonmadeWoodSplitters glad to talk to someone whose played around with it. Keep up the good work, always love to see what you guys are building
I don’t think I would buy a 5/11 even if it fit my needs better than a 12/22 it has a more limited market so probably won’t carry as well into the secondary market ie it will probably lose more value by percent, especially when it is limited on wedges available. I remember you had a video of the 5/11 trying to run a box wedge and you recommended against it even though it can be done. With everything being the same between the 5/11, 9/16, and 12/22 frame wise can someone purchase an upgrade package? Convert a 5/11 to 12/22, still won’t have the auto cycle but can get the cycle time down.
i want to buy a hat like the one you have on. i went to website and cant fine it. do you have a link for the hats
I think two different woods, maple first then white ash.
Looks like a great machine!! Fast enough for most people.
What type of wood is that Andrew? Note: I asked this before I finished the video 😂
My guess is the species was old hickory - second guess is standing ash
Is this a beetle infested ash log? They are hard as nails to cut if left out to dry.
5-11 is a good machine 10 seconds Recycle time, if a customer is doing production and splitting cords of wood per hour where time is money the 12-22 22-28 24D 37D or the Ultra those machines are faster then the 5-11,
What's the sticker price on one of these?
😮
I think its that ole Narly Elm.
you make nothing but the best logs splitter
I own a 5-11. I laugh at the term "Economy" splitter. It makes is sound like it is a low quality item. I'll would put mine up against almost any of the other brands out there and feel confident the 5-11 would hold its own against the other brands
What is the log lift max capacity of the 5-11?

I love my ultra, it's a lot different than this machine. The cycle time is right around 4 seconds on the ultra. What I love about it is that you can be casual with it and take your time, or bust a cord an hour if you hustle. It's an excellent homeowner machine but also works amazing as a commercial grade splitter. Look at Chris in the woodyard, he did over a 100 full cords a year with it pretty easily and mostly by himself 💪💪
