College football players will often get offered based on frame and athletic ability, not on field production. Maxx Crosby probably simply did not have the production that would warrant multiple scholarship offers, but somebody saw that wingspan, and figured he was worthy enough to take a flyer on

Exactly. You went to eastern Michigan for a reason. Obviously you put up the work and probably grew a lot to become a stud. Kittle was nothing at Iowa. Barely ever used in pass game. Now he is second best te in the league. Happens. That is unfair to those coaches interviewing. So many players were average to pretty good out of high school to become great later. That is part of the recipe for success. Motivation.

Getting awkward is sad. I would have immediately said "you guys did a great job of coaching him up and helping him get to the pros."

That’s kind of what the point is. Scouts only go off the highlights and the big plays but don’t look at the little things like work ethic, or drive or discipline or any other intangibles that could make them a decent player.

Im Canadian, my HS coach went to Eastern Michigan, he played CFL, got cut from the Chiefs in camp, they recruit a lot of Canadians apparently.

I knew his brother Myles Crosby. They made this funny ass rap song when they were younger it was so good and funny af. Myles Crosby was a badass too idk what he’s been doing though I haven’t talked to him in years. Last time I talked to him he was modeling for like Ralph Lauren or some shit lmao.
