Lacey acted the hell out of that scene, she's superb

Lacey Turner is a fantastic actress

The sad part about all of this, while the lady insists on keeping watch on the family for a bit longer to make sure the kids are safe, when Stacy would never hurt her kids, look how many kids have died in real life because CPS were called, visited the home, and deemed the home a safe place to be, because they didn't stick around long enough to see what was actually going on.

With kids you can always tell if they are artifical and when there has been force behind them. You should never call socials if a kid has a couple little bruises. My 2 year old boy had a new bruise on his legs every few days cus he just bounces off everything thinking he is a bouncy ball. And if he has ever had an injury that looked bad I've always called 111 to see if I should get him medical treatment. Don't assume kids are being abused from a little bruise, you may be doing more bad than good

Bruises are not from a illness it's from either falling or hurting yourself or someone hurts you

@@iiang3ls bruises can come from an illness. yes you still have to physically do something to get the bruises in most cases, but a vast majority of illnesses can cause very easy bruising

It wasn't a "prank call", and Arthur's bruise didn't come from an illness! He was hurt accidentally, and Carmel reported his injury to the social services, but quickly realised that she had over-reacted.

Depends on the situation. Sometimes you get mad neighbours who ring child services because a child cried. Sometimes they report the wrong child and the parents get treated as if they are criminals. The actual abusers tend to get away with it as the 'child services' do not want to deal with them. They tend to pick on those whose child missed a bit of school because of bullying or illness.

Don't be ridiculous. Sometimes there is no other option, unless you want more stories like Star Hobson or Arthur (sorry surname escapes me? Was it Hughes? ). Oh but when that happens social services are at fault for not removing them! Not saying Carmel was right here but to say no children should never be removed is plain stupid !

@@BitOfUltraviolence we had this. Our neighbour doesn't like us and was stood outside about 9.30pm one night and saw that we had a window open. So they phoned the police asking for a wellness check because they "heard a child crying non stop" both our kids had been in bed since 7pm and I'm the first to get to them if they start crying. my partner and I were in bed ourselves. The neighbours have been trying to cause problems for us ever since.
