Lol at Jean yelling about how Charlie doesn't care about her or Stacey whilst standing in the house he's allowed them to live in for years. If he didn't care he wouldn't have taken them in when he didn't have to.

But the thing is Mo was ‘only’ Viv’s mother. She had more right to be upset about it than he did but he made it all about himself and didn’t even seem to bother to even ask about how Stacey was doing.

Jean really was historic in this scene

Poor Charlie. He's sad about Viv on her death anniversary and just wanted the day to be about her and ended up being yelled at about how he doesn't care about others.

I can imagine her being a bit more preoccupied with Stacey getting sectioned. It’s not like any amount of anniversary remembrance would’ve brought back Vivian anyway.

Wow, it's amazing seeing nowadays gentle, timid Jean Slater in the manic side of her Bipolar mood! Very good storyline, it's true to life that her character would have denounced Charlie like that, had this been real. She's an amazing actress. But pretty low to knock Charlie for being in grief at the time of her husband Brian's funeral.

I really miss this version of Jean. Other than her silly theatrical sausage-surprise/my-Teddy-bear’s-probably-got-the-time-wrong/Tiffany-keeps-staring-at-me shenanigans in the middle she was a brilliant character in her first five years.

This was just before her second bipolar storyline and this was one the scenes that started it

@@harryjlcope nah. She was just distressed about Stacey being sectioned. Her next breakdown (which wasn’t even serious like that) didn’t come until Stacey left the first time around (Christmas 2010). People with bipolar disorder are allowed to be naturally-upset. Not everything she did was because of her illness. (Past tense for obvious reasons.)
