I just can't believe it's not going to be dual carriageway? All those new houses, direct link to the Northern Development Route (which is also single carriageway) it just doesn't make sense. I thought the whole point of this was planning for the future? Even the CGI nearly crashed at 2:25

You only need to spend time on the northern link road to see how much the farm traffic slows it down at certain times of the day, the Southern road will be as bad but those dual road run offs after the roundabouts "might" help with that...... assuming they get built to those lengths (if at all).

Single carriageway is so short-sighted, and the short sections of double lane merging into single lane are a recipe for road rage incidents and collisions. Seems the council planners did not take into account any LFE from other roads in the county where this layout leads to the prevalence of such incidents. The lead designer and other CDM 2015 duty holders will be vicariously liable for all deaths and injuries resulting from their flawed design.
