When I was growing up it was 1 Hispanic family on our block back in 1973. They lived over there maybe 3 or 4 years and they moved to Alhambra. Then after 1980 ,I remember seeing more Hispanic families moving on the east side and going to school with us. But by the time I got to Fremont, they was half the population at school. When I came home in 2009, the east side looked like Huntington Park.

Yeah but there’s always been Latinos in South LA. One of my neighbors was like 80 years old and she told me she moved to the eastside in 1929, this is the low bottoms I’m talking about. There’s barrios older than any other gang in almost every part of LA. South Central and Compton has barrios since the 1920s

What’s sad is that many of our folks in older generations moved it West for better opportunities. Many of them are buried in the soil, so that shit hurt to see the population shift like that on paper. My main question is, where is everyone really moving to? We are in a Cold War in our own backyards and still don’t know how to or can’t seem to counter it effectively . We need a collective emergency huddle up asap

You are right they label our homes “hood homes” which makes us think our gold ain’t worth shit. When majority of land inland and closer to the water is on average half a M. Everybody is moving back south and its not just a west coast thing. Everyone from NYC,Chicago,Detroit,Newark ect. are going to places like, Atlanta,Dallas,Houston,Charlotte,Memphis ect. It looks like the demographic shift is inevitable in L.A. and shit will only get worse for black people out there as more asians and mexicans go there. Yall might as well come back to the south, i think living in places where black people have the numbers, education, businesses, political incluence ect. will raise the morale of a lot of west coast dudes.

Gangsta John was a cool cat R.I.P 89 ECC. But on the other end between Mc Kinley and Central The 89 Family was a generation of killers coming up and by them growing up knowing certain people and their mom, they got a pass. I know I’m going to get a backlash from people who only wants to acknowledge their side of the story but it is also important to get some og Families to tell their own history. I new Gangsta John the soft paw, like myself he had later joined The Individuals C.C. with his lime green 68 Chevy. And I also know some of The 89 Family real swell and by me being a lowrider and running by myself I was cool with everybody as long as they were cool with me. For example back then Sticks with the pearl white 66 front and back, one of The Singleton’s was one who was known to be pushing the line from Main Street before Droopy put the Mafia on it. This was before Lumpy shot EJ. Droopy,Sticks,Monk(R.I.P),Todd,Hook and I can name many more that was doing this gangsta stuff and was known before having money and before the peace treaty. 😂 Kev Mac you’re doing a excellent job 👍🏾 Now we need to try to get some of these reputable’s from these other hoods that are mentioned,so they can tell their own side of their history.✌🏾🎧Dj Vegas, keep up the good work. Your interviews are great! Don’t get distracted by the trolls who come on your platform. Stay focused! OG’s talking!!!😂

1975 - Manchester Park, the Swans are supposed to play a football game against the Hoover Crips to foster a possible peace treaty. The Hoovers came through shooting instead. That's why their beef escalated.

Pharoah 1 I see now Cat Ceasar can’t do any right. First you never heard of him, now it’s odd that he has a throwback flick with his little homies that you spoke so highly of. C’mon Pharaoh.

Kev Mac Videos , respect Kev, but I'm a little older, 57 to be exact, and that was just unusual when I was coming up. For different reasons it didn't happen. Like I stated, I'm a bit "Old School" and I still stand by a lot of the old rules. I don't remember his face, but like I said, because he's older than myself, I'm not to surprised that I don't know him. He ran with another crew that I'm familiar with, the Mafia Crips. Furthermore, I guess that you missed my post where I shouted him out for his historical account. Everyone isn't going to get everything single thing right. It's twofold, when I saw the photo I had two reactions, one be the response that I gave, and the other being, ok, I see him with the homies Jimmy Ray (X-Ray) and Spook, he's legit. Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words. I get your vibe though. Good work, keep bringing the heat, and another shot out to Cat Ceasar👍👍👍

+Pharoah 1 Man, for those that may doubt the validity of Cat Cease being Legit...Make no mistake about it.. He's official as they come. I know Cat Cease from the streets and know how and why he caught his case and did all that time. Man, Cat Cease was tearing shit up...On ME... Put it like this, He didn't go to the pen for selling Ice Cream...lol. I know the TWINS THE LUKCETTES...BOXING CHAMPS IN THE PEN...SHORT DARK SKINNED SWOLL MUTHAFUKCAS...YOU ARE RIGHT A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSANDS WORDS. REMEMBER HE WAS AN OLD HEAD GETTING OUT YA...AND HAS BEEN INCARCERATED MOST OF HIS LIFE... HE WAS NEVER ON THE STREETS FOR ANY LENGTH OF TIME... MAN, I GIVE KCUZ HIS PROPS... I KNOW HIS HISTORY AND KNOW HE'S OFFICIAL..... JUST TO GIVE THE SITUATION LIGHT.

Ernest Shelton you’re absolutely right... but maybe he said just enough when he said the Garden Boys wasn’t Crips and Garden Boys attended Fremont in early 72’... let’s just say he threw the dogs a bone let’s see how many bite. Maybe Cutes and Tookie aren’t the only ones that didn’t put Jimel in Raymond’s camp in 1969.. 🤷🏽‍♂️

@@ernestshelton7252 Jimel was a factor when crips were more united city wide. He didnt bang in avalon gardens, or had influence over avalon gardens only, he was everywhere. And he wasnt just the leader of avalon gardens, He was a leader of crips period. I think the avalon garden crips themself werent much of a factor, nor were the avalon gardens a stronghold of gang activity in any point in time.
