Busy day at my local trail system with dozens of hikers swarming bike-only trails. Made for some "interesting" observations! Watch to the end for full effect :P

You handled thise walkers perfectly. You were courteous and respectful but also clear innyour warning to them. Getting angry only gives Mt bikers a bad name and ends up closing things down for us in the long term. Good job brother.

I know everyone is out enjoying the day, but there are literally thousands of miles of hiking trails in Cali, yet they always end up on the bike trails. Same problem on the east coast. I had a lady in North Carolina yell at me one time as she stood by a sign that said bikes only, no hikers or horses.

we've got the same type of kooks here, they're all over. i came down a trail that has a large sign clearly saying "DANGER - ONE WAY - DOWNHILL ONLY - HIGH SPEED RIDERS" and i almost ran over 2 women who were hiking up.. I didn't even have a place to slow down and explain to them to find a safer place to hike.

It's usually not like this here. This seemed to be a large meetup of some sort but otherwise everybody here knows their space. I think the group on the skinny was just resting there but some folks did actually choose to climb steep bike trails which seems nuts. I'm just glad the weekend passed without news of any collisions.

Agreed, so many hiking trails around the East Bay Area but some hikers ignore the posted signs and create a dangerous situation. I've seen situations where they've placed large tree branches across the trial, WTF!. Be alert out there and let us all get home safely.

Thanks for the ND filter! 32 may be a bit much for these conditions but I'm able to bring the shadows up enough for it to look right. Upper ISO limit is 400 right mow which may be fine for ND8 but it's not playing well with the Hypersmooth so I think 800 might hit the sweet spot.

Looks like a great place. What do you ride? I like the hiker warning system 😅. I mean the brake's. When i was watching the sound was freaking my lab out. You can't put out enough signage for the hikers 🤯

I'm riding a Giant Reign E+. Yeah those Galfer semi metallic pads start crooning like a drunk Bassett hound once they get hot. It's annoying AF but anything less gets cooked on the steeps and I haven't yet reached the level where I can just let go of the brakes 😂. I've never seen so many hikers at this place. Pretty sure they came as part of some group so hopefully it's just a one time thing. In any case, all's well as long as everyone went home without incident.

Wow! Did you change your settings? The colors seems to be more vivid. Question for you. Around 1:58 there's another trail before you take Slaps. Have you taken that one? Was this last Saturday? A bunch of people used the skinny as a bench when we were there as well.

Hey Mac! Yes, I've been playing around with a ND filter and lower upper ISO limit as it was looking quite unrealistic without motion blur. I still need to tweak it a bit so it stops messing too much with the hypersmooth. I suppose the hikers were out just like the bikers to enjoy the good weather, but maybe the trail needs signage in multiple languages to serve all audiences. The majority out that day were definitely not native English speakers.

I know right! I am using semi metallic pads which are great for stopping quickly but they can get noisy when they heat up.
