East African Presidents with Their Statehouses | Kenya vs Tanzania vs Uganda
East African countries have a total of seven countries which includes Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, south sudan and now south sudan. The east African presidents as many heads of the states around the world lives and work in their presidential palaces and these palaces always looks stunning and in this list today i just included only five east African nations excluding south sudan and DRC Congo. The list is not in certain order as they all match in importance and beautifulness. Here are the East African presidents with their presidential palaces.

@@mohammedrazaesmail6934 nop… the road to the statehouse is very much in use & used by people of all class. Nevertheless, the entrance is heavily guarded & you may only enter after going through the checkpoint

@@samuelchuonyo9052 exactly, there is a checkpoint. Why would they allow you to use the road if you just wait to drive through. I’ve come close to that road several times and it’s closed with barriers.

My favourite are Uganda State House and Kenya State House. You forgot South Sudan State House, homewhere, good video!
State House Nairobi was constructed in 1907 as the official residence of the Governor, officially known as Government House. It remained so until December 1964 when Kenya became a republic and hence the official residence of the President. Before then, it still housed the Governor-General while the Prime Minister operated from the current Office of the President on Harambee Avenue. Another thing: Rumuruti is not a state lodge but personal property of the late President Daniel arap Moi. Although it used to be a retreat house for the Governor, the property gradually changed hands in between Jomo Kenyatta's and Daniel arap Moi's presidency.

It's not their property 🙄.. it's a property of the state which means it belongs to all the citizens of that country. The president is only a tenant there. That's why after every elections a new 'tenant' (president) occupies the presidential palace

Am a ugandan but seeing Tz state house being the first
It is important to note the year when they were built. Statehouse Nairobi was built more than 100years ago in 1907. Comparing them is therefore not objective.

Very minimal research went to the Uganda 🇺🇬 State House. There is a state House in Kampala too at Nakasero
Tanzania is very beautiful
Even though the Kenyan is a very old one, I like it because of its imposing size and resemblance to White House.

@@Packetrackit At least both White House and Kenya State House have Ancient Greek architectural style. I presume it is because both Kenya and USA were both British settler colonies. Other structures in Kenya with simmilar Ancient Greek Architecture in Nairobi are Kipande House, Nairobi Gallery, Supreme Court of Kenya, Kenya Railways Headquarters Building, Nairobi City Hall, Kenya National Archives, McMillan Memorial Library, Standard Chartered Bank (Kenyatta Avenue) building etc.

It is important to note that Tanzania has two main state houses located in Dar and Dodoma, Regional commissioner Houses are also state lodges

This is not a popular topic. If my country Kenya dares to build another mansion for the head of state, trust me there will be riots on the streets. This is not a priority project by any means. We did not elect the President to sleep 😴 He is allowed to sleep once he leaves office with a handsome retirement package. In Kenya we build mansions for retired presidents, so that they can vacate the halls of power peacefully.
