I like how the singer accidentally starts singing the first verse again at the end.

It is intentional. While the presenter is introducing them at the beginning, you can hear “don’t you know” several times. In the actual released version itself, you’ll hear a “don’t you know” at the end of the chorus at the start (most of their live performances, including this one only have the first half of the chorus). He seems to stick it at the end during various performances too. It’s a nice touch, I think.

On the full studio version i think that's a mixing error but the bells were added to appeal to the Christmas singles market and Tony Mortimer didn't know they were in the song until he heard it. He said it was the record label's idea.
