    This method is actually better if answers are required in exact forms... the Graph app is not able to give intersection values in exact form so often you will need to convert your answers to decimal to check if they are correct if using graph app.

    @@TheCalculatorGuideThank for your response. I have found that If I change the angle from radian to degree to Solve tan x =1, 0 ≤ x ≤ 360, it will show full answers which are x = 45 degrees and x = 225 degrees and then we can convert these answers to radian by multiplying them by π/180. So I think when solving tan trigonometric equation we just change to degree to solve and convert the answers to randian.

  • @TheCalculatorGuide

    @TheCalculatorGuide

    4 жыл бұрын

    Not an easy way as such. If the Classwiz is in Radians you can use Solve to find a result, but it is usually the closest result so won’t give you all possible solutions. This way on the CG50 is the most comprehensive I’ve come across so far.

    SolveN(2tan(2x)=5,x,0,2pi) only gives 1 solution when there are actually 4. But if you swap it to SolveN(2tan(2x)=5,x,0,360) it gives you all 4. Does anyone know anything I can do to my calculator so that it doesn't make this mistake for radians anymore?
