I'm in amuse awal & United masters, basically Unless you have a relationship with someone at the company it's no different than distribution through distrokid or tunecore, not to mention awal takes 15% of royalties

Yep couldnt agree with u more fam thats real talk 100% thats what all of them do and hope that we artists blows up goes viral then they will step up add fuel to the fire we already got basically just like the majors ocme calling knocking once we have our own team going viral, call it a test. thats why u see Amuse (which also has investors just like all the rest of these companuies labels out there) was offering Lil Naz X Million $ to sign with them they offered him that plus label servives deal promo marketing and thats a partnership 50/50 but he wouldve kept all his masters but with Columbia the Majors im sure Lil Naz X didnt get that especially 1st time around even though he went viral his song was already making waves unlike Taylor Swift who was being developed and they was using all their major label resources on her she was more rsiky than Lil Nas x thats why she doesnt have won hermasters even though with enough clout leverage now she had a chnace to get buy it back smh.

No. They are what they are a digital delivery platform not a label. If you do not spend min $1500 on publicist, $1500 marketing & advertising, and touring, oh and about $1500 on swag theses are monthly cost. You will not have any sales or career. By using this service says you are a label, but if you think you can release and not spend you will be disappointed. If you cannot self fund your career no major label will invest into you that is the truth and a fact. You need money lots of it. The people who wake up and do what I mentioned will always succeed. Oh and I have not even mentioned to really collect your money you will need to hire an administrator period. I recommend everyone take some classes online at Berkeley music, have a clue before you fail. Don’t believe the hype there is nobody at these services that can help you if they see you do such and such. It’s all bs just like the street hustle. Don’t fall for it.you want a real record deal do what the pros do. Master you craft, build a dream team, further your education in music business. Music business is just that 10% music the rest is business. Stop looking far a short cut because it does not exist.

No not really they are in the business to distribute artists and some even provides Label services for a fee or a % and not all take on artists liek that if u not popping creating a buzz has a solid fanbase that u actually interact with basically they and everyone companies A&R's booking venues check your data your social pages so no we cant lie to them i can detect anyone here or online around the world who says they popping buzzing in their home town online. You'll be surprised to see how many artists and even IG oomodel so called celebrities faking it and the real data numbers dont lie. so all these artists thats paying for fake likes, bots farms boosting their online presence fake fans bots and spotify tidal apple fake streams we have a way to finding out that will make no one wanna partner work with u too and at the end will actually hurt the artists more than helping them u wont really know who is who your true fans one thing i know and learned that fake followers fans bots likes doesnt support artists music, they dont buy merchs, tickets to ur shows, and maybe get u some decent amount of streaming plays but once spotify, apple, tidal, youtube finds out then u banned smh so is it really worth it to fake it till u still dont make it at all, its best to not be lazy trying to find out the easy way out just go get ur money up save get loans invetsors and hire the right team and that will make any major small mid size company label to work partner with u more and u will even have enough clout leverage to get the right deal with a major or stay independent with a major label services deal.

Thats nice fam n congrats now the hard work begins lol. (im in talks with Create Music Group now by the way and comparing AWAL, Symphonic n others now to see which ones is best for me, my artists team my company DaHeat) but let me ask u this though what have they realluy done for u beside distribution getting ur music on all major DSPs digital stores, have they actually really helped u with Label Services such as playlist pitching, promo, marketing, Sync Placements, Advancements Funds etc. which should be exactly what we all here looking for help to partner with if these companies doesnt offer this come half way to really add fuell to the fire buzz we creating or help us create more further we shouldnt just sign and give them a % cut of our music catalog etc. noow i heard of AWAl and there different deals 3 tiers they offer depends where u at as an artists indie label etc which i dont blame them they have to give u us a test to see if we can buzz make money if not they not gonna be very interested in us as artists indie label etc. so there's pros n cons to these deals. but at least they give us a blue print cheat sheet of what they actually looking for and what we need to have in place in order to get a deal with them and get all the help funds label services from them. we need tractions buzz something happening on and or off online offline to grab their full attention and others.

When you release your music with AWAL you can submit a campaign form in advance of the release, which more or less highlights what you are accomplishing between releases and determines the push. Them playlisting you is subjective as it still requires A and R's reviewing your music and seeing where it might fit in. It's not as blind of service as it may seem.

Making GOOD music consistently will get you heard! I know that‘s not what an atist that’s just starting out wants to hear but if you just sit and think about song/project CONCEPTS and then go to the studio to sit with your producer and then get all the tracks mixed & mastered by a decent engineer, get someone to make your visuals in „different formats“ so you can put it out on all your social media platforms + TIME is all you need. Learn how to come up with dope CONCEPTS and find different producers who understand your LANGUAGE. Use TuneCore instead of all these other stuff because they‘ll let you keep all of your rights...I WISH PEOPLE WOULD LISTEN AND STOP WASTING TIME AND ENERGY.

And especially the ones thats offering label services playlists pitching for a % fee and see what they really about if they are just all talk or actually do what they said they will do. and never sign an exclusive with them where if they Fd up u can take ur music songs singles to another distributor. some have a way of locking u into a bs contract so be aware of that foul ish man. make sure to always ask them have proof ok.

rasheemthebest don’t know about the other distributors but amuse goes by data and numbers. If your an artist doing good under their name, they’ll ask for a split deal which is 50/50, not a 360 deal. If you do they give you special privileges like Instagram verification, your music will be on curated playlist, basically a lot of promotions, and maybe you could do some shows with their company.

Yes u can always decline the deal that u been offered, it depends what the deal is about though. look at how Lil Nas x was offered a million $ deal to saty upstream deal with Amuse 50/50 and he declined it and went on to sign with Columbia among other lables bidding war right (which im sure he doesnt own any of his masters) if i was him i wouldnty sign with Columbia or any majors if i wasnt able to keep our masters, there's so many other better ways avenues to go and still owns ur masters couldve stayed with Amuse 50/50 and a million $ as long they offering full promotion marketing labels ervices tour support pr, and Sync placements into various media films, tv, ad, games etc. I would probably sign with them and still own my masters, and or better yet coul'dve gone with one opf the top 3 major distribution arm division of top 3 major labels like Caroline/Capitol (Universal) where 50 Cents G-Unit, QC The Migos and others at, Red Music / Orchard (Sony) where Cinematic Music Group Joey Badass and others at, ADA (Warner) all takes 30% and help u with label servives, promo, marketing Sync Licensing, Tour support and with these majors can easily be in house collabs connects easier to get clearnace and collab n get on the top major Film, tv soundtracks imagine we as indie artists gotten into Suicide Squad Sountrack thats major points promos marketing right there and all these fans of that sounbdtrack would hear ur track and could become your fans thats one example lol. but with those are harder to get these deals unless u really making noise can prove u making from $100k - $200k though lol. and have a team they can work with no one is checking for artists to develop anymore u have to already establish that have ur own team.

You can charge that blame to Lil Nas X lol no seriously though all of them are like that until u actually can show n prove the numbers data are up there to the roof and u getting lots of tractions buzz online blogs and offline, and or getting lots of shows headlines touring opening up for other top major artists etc. there's alot of artists majors like Boosie and other big names artists out there thats charging from $5000- $20,000 for features ( how u think my Zoe Kodak Black and DaBaby, NBA Young Boy got on lol) so theres alot of greta ways avenues to get put on and use other major top artists to get on their waves and tap into their fanbase to have their fans become ur fans super fans. And if the deal is good where u can throw them some extra cash or they can do u a favor along with that cash by even posting the track collabo on their social pages great promo marketing and even have them perform that song together at their shows where u the new artist open up for them and they can do the same, vise versa in your hometown think how much buzz tractions and fan u can generate and once these companies see that majors small top mid size labels venues agencies, managements co. will start getting at u.

I think all of them are the same though unless you start having some tractions paying for your own promo, marketing having your own team doing the hard work none of these companies will be better for us or help us u say amuse is better why ? im sure if Lil Naz X was with AWAL or any one of these distributors label services he would still have the same success he has now with his viral hit song Old Town Road because he got that song on TikTok went viral from there and took off convert his fans from tiktok to his other social digital streaming platforms. the only reason i can kinda agree with u because Amuse (which also has investors and all teh others symphonic, distrokid, awal, tunecore, etc.) doesnt charge any fees to get ur music on all dgital platforms spotify, apple, tidal, etc and thats why Lil Nas X went with them he didnt wanna pay any fees but the amuse takes around like 15% i think for the free distribuion which nothing is free its just a loan business moves kinda. But u still own your masters unlike the majors.

Minister Of Badness nope they declined me but accepted someone smaller than me so i honestly dunno what they're looking for. The person they accepted only had 20 monthly listeners but i've got over 200 monthly listeners. They obvs aint got a manager whereas I have and they obvs havent performed yet but i have. So i honestly dunno what the formula to get in is but it seems wack to me

@Minister Of Badness OH and it's also worth noting that I know the other person doesn't have a manager and hasn't performed yet because they're my friend. Honestly so confused at this point as I tick basically the majority of their boxes compared to my friend.
