Me too, I felt like I was stuck forever, then I just used the champs with the ring and it was so easy. I didn't know much about the mechanic I guess, but damn how easy it was once I got the idea.

Brilliant ! I had wondered about these rings , but I am fairly new and do not have a ton of resources so I had not tried them out yet . Very cool strat , cheers 🥃

Thank you so much, I was totally blocked by this guy until I came across with this guide. I only have 4 bloodshield rings so ended doing it with only 4 champs, Ghrush, Doompriest, Coldheart and lvl 50 Ma'Shalled. It took some time but manage to never had in any trouble even when he steals my buffs, with Ma'Shalled I stealed back

Absolutely flabbergasted by this boss for the longest. Searched through my champs, and Blood Sheild stuff. Changed a few things but ran Lysandra instead of Visix and boss never came close to hitting me. Thanks so much.

Metalshaper and Cagebound (Lizardmen) and scrapper (barbarians) are all rare champions that place a shield on themselves on their A1 and are probably the easiest champions to get a hold of, aside from Admonitor. they can all solo this. the epic champion is Occult Brawler (Ogryn tribe), he applies poison and stuff like that, he can also solo the boss. the only thing you need are a team that can defeat the waves before the boss fast and easy and then you let that team die, beefing up your occult brawler. Jurojin's (Shadowkin) A2 ability also places a shield and it does damage, so so long as you turn off his A1 and 3, he should work too. Odachi's A2 would work, if it was a 2 turn CD, but it is 3 turn CD and only lasts 2 turns, so he doesn't work. But if they decide to change this, take note.

Scarab King is still the only boss of Doom Tower that I can't beat. I do defeat the first lvl, but any other level above that, I am just stuck. Thanks for the video, I now have a bunch of ideas how I can beat him!

Blood shields! Brilliant it took me until today to get past Scarab King level 90 and im at about say 280. I used Orn with cold heart, burangini, venomage and vrask. Venomage and orn so quite well with poisons up the whole time.

@gigaphonicon Congrats! That's a good team. Plenty of sustain and tankiness, but probably not too slow with the CH and all those poisons. Did you run someone in a Destroy set? That could speed it up, but it's not necessary.

This video is still doing the Lord's work, just got Bloodshield rings and a Rhazin in a Destroy set destroying turn meters along a Coldhear going! :)

I don't have Lady Kimi. I do have Arbitor, Lord Shazar, or Ursala. Who would be best for this team? 🤔

@Reggie2000 Any of them will work, but Ursala gives you a speed aura in doom tower, so if you need that aura, she's the one you want.

The last bit may explain what I was thinking through the whole video. Phantom touch is probably why blood shield wasn't working for me.

@mocafrost Yeah. I don't know why, but I've tested it several times, and phantom touch doesn't work with this method.

I am still using my Vergis in destroy but I should try the blood shield rings. Would definitely improve my time on runs.

@trowa8579 Vergis is a great solo champion for Scarab, but you really don't need to solo him if you have a few bloodshield rings. Speed up that run, and save yourself some time in game for other things...like grinding campaign all day. 😉

On early stages I used metalshaper. He has a shield for 2 turns on a 2 turn cool down.

Lol - I worked so hard to do this with lots of shield champs. Even metalshaper...and all I needed was the rings. Unfortunately, I don't have a bloodshield ring in Sacred Order - and my other specialist built for the scarab (an armiger in destroy) would be a problem. I can manual hard 60 with my current team though (haven't made it to 100). With normal shields, you need such high resist - this is like a cheat code. :P Ah...the phantom touch thing...that's probably why I didn't think the rings worked

@calandale It really is an incredibly simple strat. It works great all the way through Hard mode DT too. Makes quick work of an otherwise difficult boss.

Islin can solo scarab in regen on hard 50. I haven’t been able to get to 90 to try it there

So far I've been soloing him with Orn in Regen/Immortal. It's slow, and I am only starting hard doom tower. However this boss has weak damage if you aren't tripping over his other powers. I do just eat all the pissed off counter attacks, so finding a watchers ring would be nice.

@YUriPup Orn is great, but even eliminating the extra animations from the counter attacks would speed up your run considerably. Hope you get a watcher's ring next CvC! 🤞

I did it with a Awaken 6 Star Cagebound in Toxic and Immortal with only 35K power. the key was speed and Awaken skill Survival Instinct. He has Shield on his A1

If you have Strategos Islin and Sun Wukong, they can duo even Borgoth on Hard mode.

Of all the SK guide video this is the best because it's the only one that mentions bloodring, which is the best thing against this boss. But to be fair most of the other videos were from before the ring was added ingame. What a game changer though.

@knyght1074 Thank you! I'm glad you liked the guide. I do feel like the rings have been around for a long time. I'm not sure when they were added, but I found them early on...so maybe 2 years ago? But yes, they massively shifted the difficulty of the SK. Thanks for the comment! 🫡

Mithrala in regen+ immortal does the job...for the last stage I put wythir in alongside her just because my Mithrala is in 3 immortal and it's not enough

You don't even need all those champions. Toragi can solo it in 2 turns.

@TerryStotts Yep, Toragi can work great. This method can also work to help a lot of champions solo scarab.

ok i mixxed two strats for my first win vs this @#$%^&*( . galek with a bloodshield ring , vergis with a ring and destroy imortal sets SCYL and OELLA . its came down to scyl n oella to carry 1/2 the fight

You spent 5 minutes to say use blood shield, something I already knew. It is frustrating when Ash and HH do their clickbait shenanigans, I expected better here.
