And yeah, I have the same problem with the small wild groundcherries - there are too many seeds, instead of too few, and too many of them will successfully sprout. The problem is having so many of them, you don't know what to do with them all. I could plant a thousand acres of them. With most native plants, I have the opposite problem - they produce few seeds, and hardly any of them grow, or none of them grow at all. So grouncherries are my current favorite wild plant, and I'm working on planting some of them now.

One other thing to mention is that you can do this with cherry tomatoes and blueberries and things like that too but I wouldn’t use the Neutra bullet necessarily because you can damage the seeds all you need to do is squeeze the fruit until the seeds come out in a glass of water and stir it with a fork/spoon and then the water will separate the seats

The plant grew quick, transferred it outside, might have started this one too late. I did the same process with Tomatillos in an AeroGarden, but from big box store seeds, cut off part of the plant and cloned it. I didn't realize that I needed two Tomatillo plants, whatever I did seems to be working.

Great video, thanks for sharing. I bought young plants ( ground cherry) about 4 of them. Needless to say, it count me about $7 each plant which I was happy to do because I wanted the plants so bad. However, the plants didn’t furnish as well, one or two put off a few small fruits which were tasty but very small. But then one day I was walking in my yard. In this area where we had a couple trees downed and the area had been graded however, to my delight, about a month or so later, there were about 8 to 9 ground cherry plant with lantern filled fruit. The fruit is about 2-3 times larger. About the size of a cherry tomato. Don’t have ripen fruit yet but I’m in anxious anticipation. I have no idea how they got there or if they had always been there because it was an area that we had allowed the grass to grow tall. I will, definitely, save the seeds using this method. Thank you
