Ive not been able to do a singular launch to Venus and back, despite pulling off multiple feats (btw, i play free version) like a full grand tour (same command pod to every planet/moon’s surface in the solar system) using a single orbitally built spacecraft (Venus was the first stop obviously), multi part rockets (docked together on the ground), crashing things into the sun, extreemly low solar orbits. And yet I still cant figure out a way to make a single part rocket capable of the feat. Just getting the most minimalistic Venus lander/ascent vehicle to earth orbit is hard enough!

@@Electric_Bagpipes When I was trying to go to Venus and back I refuelled on orbit and then went to Venus also when landing I just went straight to suftwarce because of it's dense atmosphere you will slow down when landing

I did it a lot of times

I was trying to land on Venus but then I was launched near the sun and then, I flew by mars, and was launched onto Venus, making a successful base, Best. Trip. Ever.

the way I got to venus was when I was targeting to go to mars, I accidentally matched the orbit of venus at the right time so I brang the rover to venus instead of mars.

Half parachute deployed is dangerous and risky. For me, full parachute deployed as absolutely better. A tip though, deploy full just when you're close to the surface. Even if it takes longer, it's less risky

It’s fun-and realistic-to make huge, staged rockets though. There’s a reason the Saturn V rocket NASA used to go to the moon is currently the largest rocket ever built. :]

Oh i just got a crazy idea, imma send an small space station to venus with a lander on it, so it takes off from the surface of venus and docks back with the station and that way it returns to earth

Hi thx for this didactic vid. However something wrong with the height and velocity values, no? Reaching venus requires releasing velocity exceeding 11000 m/s and an altitude exceeding 150 km being the perigee within the parking of the spacial probe. Maybe I did not understand something 😅

I was landed on venus too slowly but my rocket was moving faster but i was time warping so the venus was not moving

how long did it take you I took 3 days to get to mars and 3 days to get to the moon. I feel like the moon is easy to get to now because I put 3 rovers on it already. too bad one quit working. I also put a rover on mars in that same flight.

Use tiny engine landers and slow down until you're down to 5.0 m/s anything above that 5.0 ms is an instant crash and dont use time warps when you're about to land
