You are absolutely correct - answer should be 45! That would have required an extra RED comment in my model answer. It skipped my mind that there are two different shoes in each pair.

For P&C just take Class 11 NCERT book for basics. Practice all the questions available there.

And whereas Permutation Combination class is not even of 10th level and everyone's syllabus talks about maths up to 10th😂😂😂There is no Permutation Combination chapter at any place in NCERT book in class 10th syllabus and that chapter in class eleventh.😂😂

In passage less quantity doesn't necessarily mean it's easy to make a conclusion. It all depends on the question and options, also the examiner has a way of playing with words in what seem as short passage. Just a reminder

Isn't this strategy too risky , only 40 ques and that too focusing on rc and vrc because in rc we can never be sure of ans and what if it gets tougher. We need to rely on maths for at least 20-25 ques (that's my view).

In shoes question answer is 45 not 36 18+16+11 Why 11 because when we chose 1st show lets think its left foot shoe then for maximum attempt we pick all 10 left foot shoe iit will be +10 and in 11 th attempt we will get right foot shoe and it will be a pair So answer is 18+16+11= 45

You are absolutely correct - answer should be 45! It skipped my mind that there are two different shoes in each pair.

In the practice question, we need a pair of red shoes , if we take 2 shoes from red there is a possibility they are both of same side of foot( both left or both right) so we don’t surely get a pair. I guess we need 10 extra attempts for red shoes if all of them are of same foot( let’s say left) then 11th attempt will surely get us a shoe for right foot and thus we get the surety of a red pair of shoes ,right ? Please clarify I am confused !

Sir, lets take worst case analysis: In this case Raj would be completing a red pair in the end. So, let’s say Raj picks up 18 white and 16 black shoes first and then 9 red shoes (all of left foot). In this way Raj has drawn 44 shoes and a red pair is still not complete. The net shoe drawn will complete a red pair.

Bro, I would suggest you start with the low hanging/easy ones of maths first, the ones which don't require any formulas, you try to solve 12-15 of those in the first 45 mins. Then switch to RC in which you are anyway most comfortable. With a bit of PYQs practice you can reduce the time in solving the RCs, after that you might be left with additional 20 mins in the best case scenario, which you can use for solving some more quants. The rationale behind this is that your mind will be fresh and sharp at the start of the paper, and when you tick some of the Qs correct in the first half, you will be confident and automatically do well after that.

Maths is my forte, but within 30 minutes I shifted to English to calm the nerves.. once I had done 20 odd english questions, i shifted to maths, then it worked out, but yeah for once maths took me aback

I attempted CSAT 2020 paper in 3 hours I was able to score 64 marks I targeted both comprehension and maths But when I solve 2021 CSAT paper where I touched no comprehension question I scored 53 marks sir...what should be my strategy because I get my comprehension questions always wrong... I am able to eliminate two option but I always end up marking the wrong option out of the two remaining

Without any preparation, I scored 98 marks in csat and you say it is tough. I gave it only once to get a taste of what this exam actually means. I believe the UPSC exam is one of the easiest exams. What is tough if only what you need to know is the syllabus plus general awareness and knowledge? IIT JEE advanced exam is the toughest. I think UPSC is made to look tougher because of the lucrative money and power everyone is seeking while writing the exam. No one i believe truly understands that it is a public service exam. If they understand this fact, their life will be a lot easier.

Bro!! u mean getting admission in IITs is much more difficult than becoming an officer. Don't know Whether you are misleading or you are an extraordinary person i.e. 1 in billions (not millions) that God knows. But if you're real i don't think that you should waste your time by watching such CSAT related videos and that too 4 months before the exam. 😂😂 Be genuine man you are going to become an officer, no one will reward you for getting 98 or 198. Happy to see u in final list, All the very best..
