It does not. It has a screen over the end so larger debris does not get into the Venturi

I say the easiest way is to have a spare bucket and just switch the net pot lid. That way you can clean the bucket for next water change🍻✌🏻

been there, done that, and my plants were far too big and bulky for that to be considered easy. depends on what and how you're growing though maybe.

Yah lifting your lid all the way off in flower with all the roots is not easy, this is a much easier way.

Like the other 2 said....once the plant gets big its going to be very difficult and if your using a trellis to LST then this is definitely the way to go!

@@chemdawg2323new to growing and thought the above comment made so much sense, then I looked at the replies and realized why I’m still taking as much as I can as a new grower.

to transfer nutrients yes.....to clean, NO! You can't clean anything with that, best way to clean buckets is to take them to bathroom and scrub them.

Unfortunately, when growing in a tent with hanging lights and you have 4ft tall plants, the root ball is massive. If the plants have fruits/flowers and weight to it, swapping buckets is not feasible or recommended. If your plants are using any type of scrog setup or other trellis work, they''ve become a permanent fixture until harvested. Exposing root balls to air/light is also detrimental to the plants.

@@HowlingFarms i had a 4 bucket setup in a 1m x 1m x 2m Box. placed the buckets on a stand for each bucket, build from aluminum profiles. they been about 15cm high and gave me enough room to add a drainage access at the bottom of each bucket. this way i could just wash the residue without removing the plants. In a later run in increased the high of the stands, for more clearance.
