    I think I'm going to do this. I have so many FQs I've collected over the years and really need to use them up. I love scrappy quilts. They really say "use me!". You just want to snuggle up in them unlike the fancy quilts that are more for show.

    I now know why you are so passionate about the potato chip blocks. I've just recently been able to sit at the machine (due to a knee injury) and sew some of these blocks together and I am now totally addicted!!! You can't make just one.

    Welcome!! So glad to have you join us. These middle blocks are a 6.5-inch square. Or you can sew two of the 3.5x6.5 rectangles together for the same size.     Generally the center is two rectangles sewn side to side. In this case they would equal a 6.5-inch square, which is what I used in place of the double block center. I love to have larger pieces of pretty fabrics in my quilts. Once you try this, you really can't make just one!! Thanks for watching! Happy Quilting, Lea Louise

    Oh, Betty, beware these blocks will grab you and not let go! The name was recently given in jest as 'You can't make just one!' It's actually a variation of the courthouse steps log cabin block. Instead of strips the 'logs' are made of bricks. It's a wonderful scrappy quilt and has so many different variations which I've been hooked on for a couple months now! 😂 Proceed with caution!!
