I purchased the ecoflow pro before Christmas due to your longer term reviews and usage experience. Yes there are other excellent products in this crowded space, and the pricing can definitely be argued.... each approach and combination of pieces, installation needs, ease of controls and smart phone apps, and so on... everything adds up. I felt that this product had the best 'overall value and backing', with ease of add-ons, of the products out there, and I appreciated that it's made in the USA. I'm happy to pay a premium for that. Initial purchase price isn't the most important factor. Thanks for the detail you put into these. There are plenty of your viewers who really appreciate it.

People’s attention is priceless, especially when nearly 4 million videos are uploaded to KZread every day. Riley and Courtney have built an amazing channel over the past few years, but they cheapen it when they do an informercial for EcoFlow or Engwe e-bikes. I know everyone has bills to pay, and upfront cash is hard to resist, but each one of these videos chips away at their audience and reminds the viewer than only some of their content is worth watching. I think in the long run it’s a bad deal.

This is the third EcoFlow content/commercial I've watched this week. It's like Eco Flow batteries are the new Hello Fresh of KZread sponsors. One thing they don't explain very well is, if your lights go out for more than a day or two in a modern home, these batteries are going to be useless after a day or two if you don't have a huge expensive solar panel and a lot of sunlight to charge them up. If I had to choose between these expensive batteries and an equally expensive diesel or natural gas generator, I think I'd go with the generator.

a dedicated home backup can be done DIY cheaper, but by the time you buy all the little components, breakers, etc. to get this depth of functionality and portability and then add the "smart" features, I think you'd be hard pressed to show much of difference. And that's considering the home owner knows how to do it all and has the tools, etc. There are some great units out there these days, but this is a very compelling setup. I put in a 6000W growatt 2 years ago with 10Kwh of EG4 batteries for about the same cost as the starter kit with the $1000 off code and free shipping. So got 40% more battery but a less capable all in one, with no portability, no offsite controllability, no additional outlet options, and a lot of DIY wiring and work for about the same money.

@@JorenMathews There's no way you can tell if this is a good product from this video. The video was highly flawed. For example, when he "tested" the EcoFlow by turning on the faucet and saying, see? it powers the well pump, well that was just crap. Anyone who's lived with a well pump knows that the well doesn't kick on the moment you turn on the wter. If you're using a blue pressure tank (like most people do), you might use 8 gallons of water or more before it finally needs to bother the well for more water. Translation: just turning on the faucet for a second in no way will let you know if it can power a well pump. I'm sure it can, but I didn't like that AT ALL. The well pump DID NOT kick on when he "tested" it.

So this is a cool tool. I will point out that for most American homes 7500 watts is literally NOT whole house electrical outlets, lights, water heater, microwave and washing and drying. For those that have 3 or 4 ton a/c this would t come close to powering whole house. For an entire 2000 sqft home to power entire house, 20 kilowatts whole house generator are needed. I love this family channel but wanted to point out that 7,500 output is the same as a gas generator. I love the modular design and upgradable ability of it. Whole generator Briggs and Stratton, Kohl’s, and generac are most common whole house and usually run off natural gas or propane. These are very expensive but actually provide a lot of security for outages and bad weather. I thank you for showing this. I wonder how much these things cost. Keep making videos. I love them. You needed to turn on the well pump, boiler and refrigerator compressor all at the same time. If you need to bring a 12K generator to charge the batteries, just use the generator. This unit is nice in certain places but it well not replace a whole house generator running on natural gas, that will run 24/7 if necessary. And these generator can also be switched automatically. Batteries are always limited, yes this unit ran at max 7200watts, but only for a short time,

This kind of infomercial I can tolerate because it’s done by two people that use this technology daily, and they can evaluate it independently and accurately having one of these “infomercials every once in a while on their KZread channel is just fine. I learned a lot of very good information about different products that they happen to use in their off grid life

The Thing I don't understand is in their own ad it said to charge off a generator it must be an inverter generator. I am thinking might be able to charge it with a regular generator if you use the car charger adapter and a level 1 charger.

It is a fantasy that you are freer and more independent. Of course off griders spend hours per day doing things that us lame suburbanites can do in a second by flipping a switch or turning a faucet. Time is the most valuable thing so wasting it doing things like collecting water is not my idea of freedom.

90kwh is not 30 days, even conservatively, for the typical American household. Feel like if they had a generator setup, they would have been better off with a better generator, especially with no solar panels included. Realistically at best I see this being good for a day or two off backup during a small outage. I could see this being a decent product but not for this particular use-case.
