I just started this and so far its my fav one, I'm making blankets in memory of my mom who I lost Oct 2nd from Alz and Vascular Dementia and she was age 95, I give them to Hospice patients. I try to do a diff stitch for each blanket to help me learn more stitches as I am a visual learner but I also like the easy, fast, stitches that don't eat yarn lol so I can make more faster. Your such a great teacher, I love your videos.

Me too.
I tried 4 different tutorials for moss stitch squares, before finally having success with yours! Thanks so much!
Thank you soooooo much for this tutorial. I usually use much more expensive yarn and more complicated patterns. I bought the yarn as soon as I saw your tutorial and the blanket turns out even better in life than on camera. You gave me the inspiration to do something new and as I donate children’s clothes and blankets to charity, I’ll be using this a lot more in the future. Can’t thank you enough.
Uauu thank you.. I knew as single crochet, I don’t know why.. you explained so kind, so gentle and so PERFECT TEATCHER!!!!
I keep coming back to this video any time i need to brush up on this stitch pattern. Thank you for making a great tutorial that's easy to follow and understand.
I recently found your channel & so glad I did. I haven’t crocheted in years & just getting restarted & addicted to learning new stitches. Thank you so much for all of your awesome tutorials that are so easy to follow❣️ When I started crocheting decades ago I had to learn from books & this is so much easier 😂. Thank you for sharing USA terms with us who live in the states. Blessings to you & please know we appreciate all of your hard work making wonderful free tutorials. 🙏🏼🤗 Sheila

Great tutorial Rebekah! This is perfect for a baby blanket! No holes for little fingers and toes to get caught in! Very pretty! Thanks for sharing!💞
You are a gifted teacher, and this is an excellent video! The way that you tell us things that we are always supposed to do is so very helpful because it makes us really learn and understand the pattern. And I LOVE having an actual square instead of a “swirl.” I hesitated to try the moss stitch because it seemed like it would be slow, but I am crocheting it practically without looking at it. It is almost like a “muscle memory” thing. Thank you so much!
So beautiful! ❤

Thank you so much 🌷
Clear, concise tutorials like these are exactly why you were the first person who could teach me how to crochet when I started about 4-5 years ago.
This is the neatest start I've found, and I've filed the video as my go-to. Thanks heaps, Rebecca !
This tutorial is amazing. I make blankets for our local children’s hospital and I am now starting one using 3 weight yarn that I doubled (using 6mm crochet hook). Great way to use up my thin yarn for something that is beautiful. Definitely prefer doing the Moss stitch in the round. Thank you for doing this video.
Just found this, and after 2 solid days of trying other versions of start in the middle blankets, THIS one is working for me. THANK YOU!
Beautiful I’m going to learn how to do this

Thank you for this tutorial! I need simple stitches because I'm a beginner and crocheting doesn't come easily for me. I'm making a variegated cotton dishcloth, using a stitch marker on each new row, and it's looking good so far. You're a great teacher! 💖

I love the moss stitch and this tutorial is the best one I've came across for showing how to start it and keep it straight. It's perfect. I'm guessing the trick is the not chaining one and turning. Thanx Rebecca.

I love the simplicity of your start for this moss stitch square. I tried another that was very confusing, but I am far enough along that I will continue with it. The one I am doing is with scrap yarn, but when I do a planned project in this stitch, your video will be my go to. Thank you so much for making this look so easy!
Always looking for different stitches for the C2C. Thank you, can't wait to start a moss stitch baby blanket.❤❤❤❤

Hello Rebekah, thank you for another beautiful tutorial. I have some delicious yarn waiting to be made into blankets, and now this is the stitch I will use for a tighter granny style. I see you are working on the rectangle version. I’d welcome that very much too when the time is right for you. Thank you again for your channel. Kind regards from Dianne 💐

Oooo! I have always loved rainbows. Pastel version of the rainbow my favorite rainbow colors. I did notice how straight your pattern is, amazing. I love the speckled yarns a lot, as much as the gradient multicolored ones🤗❤️👍🏽💯

I too love this stitch. I use it frequently. In the literature, it goes by several names. Some of the names I have found are granite stitch, linen stitch, sand stitch, and woven stitch. Those are the ones I can think of offhand. I think there are others. If you see these names, they probably refer to the moss stitch shown in this video. One of the things I like about this stitch is that it gives a fabric with better drape than just about any other stitch pattern I have ever used.
Very beautiful 😊 thank you
Love this pattern. Edges started rippling, so every 4th or 5th row I went down a hook size.
Thankyou for your video. It was a very nice quick blanket to make
