If you want to paint better watercolor portraits then I have a few tips which I think will help transform the way you paint ! Whether you're painting in watercolors or using another art medium, portraits are considered one of the most difficult subjects in art, especially when it comes to getting a good likeness of the person you’re painting.
If you’d like to be able to take a photo of your family and friends and transform it into a great looking painting, In this video I’m going to show you a few ways to make that process easier.
Have fun !

Hello! I'm Anthony. An independent artist and illustrator based near Paris in France. Watercolor painting was my first passion. So a few years ago I took out my old paints, and rekindled my love for watercolors. I decided to start charting some of my watercolor experiences in the form of my blog, “WatercolorAffair.com” (and now through my KZread channel). My objective was to start sharing some of my hard won knowledge in the hope that it will help and inspire others to paint with watercolors!
Thank you for following !

That tonal value app is golden 👍 that really helped me out of a pinch in my initial drawing. I always draw before I paint. I try and plan as much as possible, but sometimes you get a reference that’s not the best and you’re paid to make something out of it. Real beginners should never try working from sub-par references bcuz it really makes life difficult, even for artists who know what they’re doing.
Thank you! Wonderful!
Great lesson, thank you 😊. But i didnt find the See Value app...
Terrific lesson! Thank you so much!
Wow. Seeing you start at the eyes with grey is a real eye opener (pun intended) to how much we need to notice tonal values. Wonderful tutorial!
