Earthtear Cavern - "The Other Shore" Ramen Shop of the Dead

Ойындар

The idea for this house was a literal fever dream that may have had something to do with re-watching Chainsaw Man while sick.
Apologies in advance if the Kanji(?) is too nonsensical. I don't know Japanese at all and relied on both the internet and a very helpful translator to hopefully convey as simply as possible "Death Again" (再び死). I just hope it doesn't mean anything unintended or offensive. (because that's more than 30 Deadlands Wall Spikes in the ground and it would hurt to have to dedicate more furniture to it.)
Also, apologies if this is somewhat blasphemous, I mean no offense. The ideas that informed my choices in this house were picked from both Buddhism and Shinto beliefs/myths concerning afterlifes/underworlds. Both of which were as I understand, extremely conflicting, however I wanted this house to be both sinister and welcoming. Enlightenment and not. Peaceful and Anxious.
But also a Ramen Shop.
Because I've tried and failed for years to do a pretty Japanese-themed housing build like so many others I adore out there. But I guess I can't thrive unless I'm being really weird LOL.
The journey to make this house a reality was a special one. I won't soon forget it.
No EHT FX in this one.
Almost all the excessively bright lighting are [Deadlands Wall Spikes]

The Onigiri are small Necrom candles

and Elsweyr Brush, Body

Ramen base was one of the Elsweyr meals, mixed with small Necrom lights for sliced (square) eggs, lettuce in one, I think carrots in the other for greens, dragonfruit in one, Leyawiin tomatoes in the other for egg yolks.
I broke out my controller for the video and it took every ounce of focus and willpower just to not whip the camera around. Those of you that build houses with one have all my respect. i can't even figure out what button opens doors hahaha!

Oh my sainted aunt! This is the best one yet. Seriously, I kept wondering 'how did he do that?' 'and that!' I know you've re-purposed something in an amazing way but I can't work out what. Bravo. :D Can't wait to go visit it in person. This one went straight into my playlist of 'houses I wish I'd built'.

Oh my gosh, it means so much to hear that!! My darker houses usually don't go over very well, but I poured everything I had and then some into this one. It's a very personal house on many levels, I am so happy you like it!!

I do love your more 'cosy' builds, but this one is just plain /beautiful/. With a capital 'B'. I saved the script last night and I'll be logging in soon to visit. @@mahvirnadas

Ive just stumbled upon your epic build looking for japanese inspired housing. This build is amazing!! I do have a question if you wouldnt mind? As you walk into the building you have made grid windows which look like the traditional paper windows. How was this created? What furniture did you use plz. Thanks for an epic build and your time. I look forward to your future project 😊

I never mind when it comes to answering questions! The large grid windows on the first floor are made of 4 large tales of tribute tapestries (the backs of them are blank white) and a deadlands grate, large on it's side. The grate itself is huge so I was able to make two windows out of one, two tapestries per 'window' (the printed sides facing each other). Here's a link to the various tapestries, there's quite a few these days! en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Tales_of_Tribute_Furnishings The Deadland grate is unfortunately a crownstore only item, there may be other furnitures that could work instead. en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Deadlands_Grate,_Large I hope that helps! (I also hope that's the one you meant, just waking up and not completely through my coffee yet!) 🙂

None! They're just deadlands wall spikes, placed underground. Here's a few images of what it looks like with and without floors. imgur.com/a/KuKzKFG The house is my primary at the moment on PC/NA.
