Cguro mas earthquake resilient ang steel frame kaysa traditional concrete beams and posts for building new houses. For walls ibang materials gamitin imbis hollow blocks. Mas magiging magaan ang buong structure.

Boss gabs, nabanggit mo po kasi ung "Nag fail ung soil". Ung bakuran kasi namin gnyan. nag tutubig sia so we checked. hindi nmin alam san nanggagaling ung mga tubig. Now nalaman po namin na sa kapitbahay, may ginawa silang kanal na naka dikit sa pader namin. Di lang namin sure kung concrete sia or dinikit lang tlaga samin ung kanal. May possiblity ba na dun nang gagaling po ung tubig? and if so pwede ba un ipatanggal?

Just want to ask an advise on my next project. I am planning to build a house. The concern is that property line is on a slope land. I plan on building a retaining wall with reinforced columns that is intended to carry horizontal load of adjacent soil on property line. The retaining wall will be about 15 feet high. About 1 floor and half floor. To support the wall I intent to do combined rectangular footing and strap beam to support the eccentric beams on the property line. I am no expert and needs advise. We live in Pacific Ring of Fire meaning Earthquake probe area. Am I missing something or thus this solve the issue of horizontal load from adjacent land or is more advisable to separate retaining wall from reinforced columns? TIA more power. Planning to build 3-4 floors concrete gang 3rd floor tapos attic po is wooden or Tubular. Planning to use 20 mm schedule 40 8 pieces per column. Planning on using combined rectangular footing plus strap beam sa eccentric beams near the property line. Retaining wall po yung sa property line kaso slope po

From the way you plan your house structurally it seems like you have a good foundation but hopefully you still have structural analysis and design as well as soil boring test. Have a great day po.
