It's amazing how the music for character naming can really set the tone for a game. Final Fantasy's prelude indicated the beginning of a grand performance, something that would play almost like an Opera. The Legend of Zelda began with the classic theme we all know and love, preparing you for an epic adventure across an enormous world. Knights of the Old Republic had feelings of both the Imperial March and the music that played in Episode 4's ending scene, telling you that this was the Star Wars game where you could choose the character's fate! And EarthBound? It's weird. It's quirky. The music takes a while to fully settle in, with voices sounding over it until that funky beat comes in, Then we get that high staccato accenting the beat before a somewhat sweet-sounding bleep comes in to act as a voice that carries us with a nice tune to the start of the loop again. And it's so bizarre that nothing else could be the introduction to our characters.

I’m starting to play EarthBound! It’s really fun so far, even though I haven’t even left Onett yet (ugh). The dialogue is super quirky, the battles are fun; it’s just such a good game, and I definitely recommend it! Edit: Finally got to Twoson, and I'm enjoying this game so much!! It's really hard, yet really great! I still recommend!!

I was listening to this earlier and just found this extension released nine hours ago Edit: damn it i just listened to it for another half hour

This song is fun as shit to play on bass. Real chill, easy. Can play it straight through for thirty minutes without even thinking about it.

This song is so neutral and catchy, sounds like a normal RPG game track to start, despite the voices, but, when the drop comes, it gives me a feeling of a great adventure, something that awaits me with total hope and joy as I move forward, a great song to name characters, and favorite things too, I almost never leave this section to listen to the song several times, one of all the themes I loved throught the OST

When I booted up my switch 22 hours after the game came to nso(for me there was no update for 22 hours) And I pressed start a few times, selected stereo audio(as any self respecting person would) and was greeted with this track that I had remembered both fondly and barely even actually, As rex mohs would say, "I WAS OVERJOYED"

I am not sure if it's intentional, but there's an additional sound that is not supposed to be in this music. You can clearly hear at 0:20 that 2 of the same sound start to play with the difference being that one started to play earlier and one later.
