Ears clogged, after prolonged head cold, easy fix
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
After antibiotic killed infection, fluid was trapped in inner ear, not wax as I thought, this is what my ear specialist told me this morning. I had tried this but clogging returned, he explained the need to do this often as it releases a bit of fluid in inner ear back through eustachian tube to nose/throat, each time . Must be repeated. Who knew?

Thank you so much for posting! I had my plugged ear for a week and tried this technique and it worked! Praise God!
Interesting! All the videos I’ve watched, by doctors etc, and none mentioned doing the maneuver repeatedly. I’ve always assumed it was just one breath and if it was going to work it would pop instantly. Throughout your video I did it a couple times and I’m already feeling some drainage! Thank you!
Woke up about a week ago in an absolute state of panic. Never had any issues like this other than air pressure from altitudes or water in the outer ear. Almost completely deaf on my left ear. I also have tinnitus which I am usually able to just ignore and forget about. Now it was screeching. I have had the flu or something so I've assumed it's just that. It still feels full up there, I still hear the ringing of the tinnitus. It's better now, I hear the occasional crackling and release of pressure and I can finally blow some air through it with this technique. I'll continue working on it, thanks for the tip. Other videos on this site make it sound like it's an instant fix and release type of thing.
I've watched dozens of videos, tried what I thought was everything. I find this video after 3 weeks of aggravation and it works. Thank you. I am so grateful. Instant relief.

This is exactly why I posted this video after same experience. I incorporate this procedure daily, sometimes several times a day especially during allergy season or when barometric pressure change abruptly, and have not had an ear clogged with fluid since. Also it helps relieving sinus problems as well in my opinion. Happy it worked for you.
Thank you Pauline. Shared this video with my friend Nancy. She has also been suffering for a month. This gave her hope and put a smile on her face.

My problem is that ONE ear would not clear with that. So I put warm water in that ear a couple times during my showers and also laid that ear on a heating pad and finally over time, the stubborn ear is now starting to clear. 🎉
Thank you for sharing that I have felt the same way with my ear sfor week now.

You seem very sweet. I could listen to you all day. I am getting over a bad cold as well but everytime I get sick it effects my ears all the time and I'm so sick if it. The blowing thingy doesn't work for me 😔 they will keep popping on their own but it takes days and sometimes months before my ears will get better. I'm hoping cetrizine and Flonase will help me.

-Thank you, I find it useful to do it often even when I don't have ear problems. Helps to get that fluid draining downward where it needs to go. A recent commenter said her ENT told her to do it 25 times, 3 times a day, which I would think quite excessive but hey whatever works. 😄

Thanks so much. As a kid I had repeated ear infections, until our family doctor taught me this exact thing. Never had any problems again. Ever. Some articles mention it but say it can be dangerous. Yes of course, be gentle with yourself but it REALLY WORKS. And tell everyone! Health autonomy is important to kick off from drugs, pharmaceutic industry, heavy treatments and all the industry behind them. Btw the scientific name for this is Valsalva maneuver.

After doing this video I relayed info to the Physician's Assistant (working for my Dr), and now she recommends doing this to the many patients who come to her with this problem. It seems like such a violent experience to do this but it works for me. My health has been better just remembering to do this often. We live in an area near the coast and the changes in barometric pressure does weird things to fluids in sinuses, thickening it, draining it into ears, etc as it tries to find it's natural way down into gut. So my PA says she gets loads of patients with this issue, even though there might not be infections, or other things that might be bad enough to need antibiotics (I try to stay away from antibiotics as much as I can) This one thing has made a huge difference for me and hope it does for you too and others.
My ears have been plugged for 5 weeks now . I don't think I'm plugging my nose and "blowing hard enough" in fear of creating a nose bleed.
Thanks Auntie 🙏

Trying - hoping to work :D thanks!
Have you caused a nose bleed doing this? If so, you might have another issue. At first, I was fearful that I could do this too much, it does seem a strong procedure. I do it so hard I can hear and feel the squirting of liquid and on feel it draining down back of throat. I am not a Dr, so hesitate to give any advice here, other than to try it to see if it work. Only a little liquid drains each time you do it.

I'm going to give this a try. My ear got blocked after an allergy attack about 3 weeks ago and the doctor said it was fluid and inflammation in my ear. It DOES feel like being under water. Wanted to put me on steroid nasal sprays. Not gonna do that. Hopefully this works. I already tried it and felt the tubes open up. I'll keep it up and see how it goes. Thanks for this video.

I tend to get head/ sinus congestion a lot. I do this several times a day. I have been healthier since I incorporated this several-times-a-day technique into daily routine. Rarely now do I get vertigo, less pressure buildup behind my eyes is very beneficial, and the enzymes that drain into your digestive system, as they are supposed to, helps overall wellness. Thanks for feedback.

Wow, and I was worried about doing this too often. This fir me is a game changer for improved overall health. There are important enzymes in those sinus areas that are needed in the gut. This technique helps to get them draining properly into back of throught. I guess some of us have too much thickening of buildup in our sinuses that causes vertigo, ear blockages etc.
Does it hurt when you pop them? Mine kind of hurts but it does seem to help.

Not sure, if it continues to hurt after you do it several times, you might want to get a Dr's opinion. I have to keep doing this pretty much daily, at least two or three times a day just to keep the drainage from sinuses going where it needs to go.

DeAnn, I felt I was underwater, not sure what kind of pressure you are feeling. Remember this technique done gently, but often, even hourly should reduce the fluid in the inner ear, try that and maybe that is the pressure you are experiencing. A little fluid drains each time you do this, so several times a day is needed for it to go away. Good Luck,

Doesn't work for me
Dehydration makes the problem far worse: the mucus becomes gooey and doesn't drain easily. There are lots of differing views on just how much liquid we need per day, but around 2 litres seems to be the recommended average as a minimum. People with weak bladders, and men with prostate problems often end up in this situation as a consequence of purposely restricting their fluid intake. Better to be visiting the bathroom often than end up with blocked eustachion tubes!

lol, about menopause, though not a laughing matter, but I am waaaay past that. I would say my best advice is to embrace it, it will pass, and you will enter a stage of greater peace and wisdom, some call it old age. I am the happiest I have ever been, age 80. My best life advice about stressful/unhappy situations, has always been: 1., "change it if you can", 2 "leave it" (by distracting yourself, walk, hobby read a good book, or permanently leave a situation if needed), then finally 3. " accept it." I have found this to be most useful.
