I was straggling to get these together as well but i figured out if you press them so that most of your force is pushing the ear adapters "up" towards the long side of the wedge, before you start trying to slide them in, it helps a lot

I just installed the headset in my flux helmet. The process was very easy, as shown in the video here. The adapter and the rail fit perfectly fine and tight. No need for hammering or oil to get them to fit as in the other comments.

How did you get the 2 pieces to go together so easily? Did you grease it? Having a terrible time trying to slide them together.

For anyone stumbling across this, I got them together by first sanding all the edges that came in contact with a nail file, and then applied WD-40. Even after a fair bit of sanding it was pretty tight so I resorted to smacking it in the last 1/3 or so with a hammer, and that did the trick. Not sure if the filing helped at all or if hammering it from the get go is the best idea, either way it can't hurt to sand it and it's still very snug. Also be sure the adapters are positioned correctly because once the headset part is wedged in / or if it gets stuck, then you can't reuse the adapters as the screw to attach them to the helmet becomes unusable

@@oojiflip It's absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable that the adapters need user modding to get them to fit together. I guess OPSMEN/Earmor don't bother with QC anymore? Would explain the 3 people I know who's headsets have died after about a year of fairly gentle use...

@@TomWire I think I was just being too ginger with the force I was putting in, because I was scared of getting it stuck halfway on. Once you commit, though, it goes the rest of the way pretty easily and clicks in

@@oojiflip i learned this the hard way so i had to buy another set because i could not slide them off once they click in. and if you mess it up on the side rail you probably would have to buy another flux side rail which is stupid. you should be able to take the adaptor and the headset mount on and off if you want

If you have the perfectly good leather band for optional use..... CUT IT OFF!!!!! Soo stupid. Bad enough I had to spend $50 for m-lok adapter but now I have to cut my headband.

Whats why now we use VELCRO headband. Also if you check SORDIN, 3M Peltor or other headset that also need to cut of leather band if you want to add rails adapter.

There needs to be an mlok ready model, or a slimmed down mlok adapter because the ride height is a real fucking problem for foliage and head clearance. Not to mention it makes user look like fucking idiots with dunce caps. Stop trying to cut corners. If earmor is pro 2a then give us usable products.
