There is no scientific evidence to support the claim that regression due to teething leads to autism. Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects communication, social interaction, and behavior. While teething can cause discomfort and irritability in infants, it is not a known cause of autism. In fact, the exact causes of autism are still not fully understood and are thought to involve a combination of genetic, environmental, and other factors. It's important to note that regression, or loss of previously acquired skills, can be a concern for parents and caregivers, and it's always a good idea to consult with a healthcare professional if you have concerns about a child's development. However, teething is a normal part of infant development, and in most cases, it is not related to autism.
