Early May Garden & Retaining Wall with Recycled Materials

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Our shady Northern Virginia zone 7b garden is full of blooming azaleas and other flowering shrubs, trees, and perennials. In addition to all the flowers, check out the progress on a retaining wall constructed from recycled materials.

You have a beautiful garden! I enjoy working in my yard and garden until I see a snake, which I did the other day. Now, I can’t focus on the tasks at hand because I’m too busy watching all around me!

Oh wow! Always think of the Emily Dickinson poem when I see a snake "But never met this fellow, Attended or alone, Without a tighter breathing, And zero at the bone."

Lovely tour! The pink azalea at the beginning is gorgeous. Looks so peaceful in that back area.

It's the perfect way to use recycled materials that don't match perfectly..

Well my plan today was to plant in the garden, after a trip to my favorite nursery yesterday, But here in California it is pouring rain!!!! Thank goodness for your video! So I am in your garden instead of mine. Its still a garden , and yours always makes me happy. I am in love with all your gorgeous pink azaleas. I have a huge white one, but I wish it was pink. Guess I just need to get myself one. I also love Lupine but it never seems to come up from seed, and I never find them potted.

Look up sweet shrub for the rusty flowers. I wish you had the app. I don’t have it either. Your tall rose may be a Jackson & Perkins Queen Elizabeth. My Mom had one. And I do now. I don’t have a heuchera! I don’t have peonies. I did have clematis. I started fertilizing the plants in the back of the yard. We are making a table with plumbing pipes for legs and to support the pick nic table.

Calycanthus scent is different from seedling to seedling. Unless grown from a cutting from a verified scented tree, it's not guaranteed to have a scent.
