Thank you so much! 2 years ago I had a collection of about 30 different varieties of Coneflowers. Many have been eaten by the voles 😫 now only the strong survive.

Good call on your possible aster yellows! I grow mostly natives and got hit with it. And the number of native plants it affects is staggering. You need to get the roots and destroy them as well. And yes, oh boy does it spread. The first year I didn't identify what the issue was early enough and it will likely take me years to get rid of it totally.

OMG! Just came across your video thru YT recommendations and wow! You are growing basically all of my favorite and go to plants. The salvia types, agastaches, and daisy type plants. LOVE all those! I wish we get warmer earlier and longer here in PNW for these plants but I still do appreciate the beauty these give me in my garden even if short and quick. Thanks for sharing your garden :D

Your garden is absolutely beautiful. May I ask how long have you been growing your garden, and what percentage is perennial. For years my front yard was filled with hostas, but they are growing too large and are demanding more shade. Now I need to move them to the back yard and add more flowers up front.

Thank you! I started the front yard driveway gardens in 2022. I would say that 90% of the space in my garden is filled with perennials and shrubs. I will probably always reserve some space for annuals, especially Zinnias, every year. It sounds like your garden gets full to part sun? You'll have so many options of colorful things to plant there!

Could you cut the coneflowers purplea halfway back befor they bloom to reduce height without it hurting the bloom cycle

In my experience, the first set of blooms are usually the largest and I wouldn't want to sacrifice those. I have never had a reason to try to reduce their height so I can't say with certainty what the outcome would be.

Do you use a general fertilizer or something special by plant?

I generally just apply Plant Tone in the late winter.

How do you keep bunnies out?

I use Liquid Fence for the deer and it also helps keep the bunnies away.

Google it the daisy don’t look same color as yours also I have red and white cone flowers love love love mine sooo pretty
